Exposing the Grift: Go Woke Go Broke

You must have left some impression if I didn't even remember you.

By the way, I hope you took our advice
Our? Are you co-habiting with your new life partner? When is @SuperAlly going to propose?

And yes you're welcome for exposing that you convieniently forgot where I sonned you and you accepted everything I said about you, only to grow a sack 4 months later and say you would beat my ass.

When was the last time you actually got in a fist fight? Did you win?

I already told you we’re the same person Nancy boy.

I already told you we’re the same person Nancy boy.

No you're not. You're both morons, but that doesn't make you all the same person.

You're much much more insecure in your fake tough guy persona, Super Ally is more of a middle aged bored loser. You don't actually have much interest in video game politics, you're just liking things that agree with 'your side'. @SuperAlly actually is ballsdeep on every livestream, article, social media activity of 'woke game devs' like this is actually his life.

So no, you're not the same person, but maybe after you consummate your union, you'll be that much closer.

Isn't one of the purported narratives for companies turning IPs woke is that it attracts a bigger more diverse audience?

But that doesn't that fail the logic test?

Companies are chasing off a far bigger established audience who just like the show, game, IP in search of replacing them with a smaller number of activists who care about a social justice issue and not the show/game/IP/movie.

So you lose a big core audience and sometimes gain a far smaller group.

E.g.

LotR. Formerly enormously popular across books and movies

Rings of Power. LotR girl boss edition.

Less than 40% liked season 1
Less than 40% finished season 1
Less than 40% returned to season 2

So maybe just make things people like without the propaganda...

Post a youtuber, hell post 6. Anything's better than spending time with your wife and kids.
I was thinking of bumping multiple old threads and randomly tagging another poster I’ve developed a creepy obsession with - who didn’t even know I existed a week ago - rather than spending time with the wife and kids. ;)

And lol at people posting on an internet forum trying to dunk on other people for posting on the same internet forum.

No doubt the wokerati in here will be big fans of this one

Even when they fail it doesn't matter because Blackrock got them covered with some hush hush money. It's all about spreading the agenda

I'm also not someone who pretends to be a conservative, I don't have to adhere to these values.

I'm not a middle aged man, I don't have a wife and kids.

You are a middle aged man and you spend far more time posting youtube videos than i do responding to you, it's not even close, gramps.

Sounds like no amount of reshoots is gonna save the new captain America though. Just balloon their budget to an absurd figure they can never hope to recoup.

"You've got to do better senator Marvel"
doing just fine <Selugi>

We shall see…

It appears to be performing above projections for the initial weekend. Although projections had it at just better than the recent massive flops I believe.

Does it not need to make a billion to break even with it reckoning to have really cost circa 400 mil after reshoots?

Yet to be seen I would say.
i’ll be curious to see what kinda legs it has. i’d have to double-check, but i’m pretty sure it doesn’t have much competition coming out over the next few weeks. this might help stave off any drastic box office drop over that time. a B- cinemascore isn’t great, but also isn’t low enough to assume it’ll drop more than 40% in its second weekend. that said, if it does drop more than 40% second weekend then i don’t think it’ll have the legs to break even

I vaguely remember reading there is no major blockbuster release happening for a while that would impact on this. Which should help like you say.

Edit: to be fair, any negative reviews this one are about the story, the obvious issues with re shoots and cuts affecting the flow of the movie and the disjointed storylines or characters, poor fight scenes etc. So if it does end up poorly received overall, that does seem to be the big issues with this one. I don't think Falcon suplanting cap nor the nonsense of falcon and the winter soldier will have helped. But doesn't seem to be an "woke" or identity film in its own right. Just will always have some tangential attachment to such things because of the daft history of the character with the Disney tv show etc.

I honestly think anyone who argues against the premise "go woke, go broke" has a lot of synapses not firing in their brain
