I get that Jaguar had a reputation as unreliable and a brand for old fuddy duddies and struggling rabid social climbers.
BMW motorcycles had similar reputational woes in the early 2000s though, and their rebrand (primarily as performance motorcycles) was entirely successful because they were good products that people actually wanted.
No one gave a shit about the marketing wank with pulling out tablecloths. They lead with the product.
Jaguar's rebrand appears to have kicked off with 100% "Exuberant Modernism" marketing wank, and no product at all.
Rumours are they plan to ask 6 figures, so who knows whom they imagine is their market, and the "spy shots" aren't doing their job of building the hype.

Sad. That car in the "spy shot" looks like it will still be ugly once the covering is removed.

If the rumours about Captain Marvel leading the new Avengers in Doomsday/Secret Wars are true, I don't have much hope for those movies either.

Probably didnt help that the actress was in her Rachel Zegler far left politics phase of telling everyone they were dumb, racist, -phobes.

That sort of grift doesnt seem to help sell entertainment (see the Acolyte, the Marvels and other recent MCU/Star Wars/Indiana Jones etc products for more evidence of that.
