No matter how you feel about Brexit it's clear your government completely fucked it. Obviously the leave vote caught them off guard and they had absolutely no plans in place. Well, I suppose they had the "budget will balance itself" mentality and that's simply unforgivable.

Absolutely.

It was Cameron that promised it as he walked out the door, and I suppose their answer was to replace May with Boris - a fly-by-night populist whose political leanings were whatever the tabloids told him at the time.

I actually thought Boris would remain in power for some time after massacring Corbyn, but he's such a weak, weak man he couldn't cling to power even without an electoral adversary.

Now we're just waiting for Labour to oust the Tories and see what they can make of the very much right wing Brexit...

The only thing worse for a country than poor leadership is instability. By my simplistic thinking, anyways. And holy crap you guys are in a perpetual state of flux. I'm a bit of an anglophile (comedy, music, Churchill, Locke, fighting slavery on the high seas, stiff upper lip, taking the piss is SOP, etc. I'll just ignore that your food is shit hole status) and the state of things is sad to see.

Asian food here is world class, the produce is fresh as anywhere in the world, too, so you can cook up a top draw meal that's very good value.

But yeah. The Conservative government has effectively eviscerated itself over and over again.

Nobody even understands why.

You guys can take credit for many a great things that have helped us get to where we are, but Asian food ain't one of em! Lol.

One more thing, then I'll stop derailing - it seems many of our politicians are hell bent on a race to the bottom. And we somehow got to a head space where we'll argue on their behalf as they're marketed as the lesser of evils, instead of demanding better. What other industry is such incompetence excused?

The number is all zeros for Biden at this point. Just a stunning statement from @AristotleAmadopolis. I think the kind of aggressively hackish statements like that are intended to send a message that the speaker has total disdain for honest discourse.

As for the thread, there are a range of estimates (and the framing in the OP is ridiculously dishonest). At this time, no reason to think that the Philadelphia Fed estimate is better than other ones (there's a reason you're not seeing reputable news orgs with this kind of breathless claim), and a lot of reason to think it's worse. Note that the ADP (private) estimate is about 600K. Further, the administration has no input into that kind of thing. It's not political at all. A lot of recent revisions have been up. If some are down, we'll get that data.
