I guess part of it is playing to the local audience, but I see a lot of high placed fighters with poor or little ufc record and mid range names. Certainly as a local I would care more about quality fights then local fighters, but even more as a ppv viewer I am not impressed.

  • Dricus du Plessis (c) -205 vs. Sean Strickland +170, middleweight title
  • Zhang Weili (c) -160 vs. Tatiana Suarez +135, women's strawweight title
  • Justin Tafa vs. Tallison Teixeira, heavyweights
  • Jimmy Crute vs. Rodolfo Bellato, light heavyweights
  • Jake Matthews vs. Francisco Prado, welterweights
  • Jack Jenkins vs. Gabriel Santos, featherweights
  • Hyunsung Park vs. Nyamjargal Tumendemberel, flyweights
  • Cody Haddon vs. Aleksandre Topuria, bantamweights
  • Tom Nolan vs. Viacheslav Borshchev, lightweights
  • Quillan Salkilld vs. Anshul Jubli, lightweights
  • Wang Cong vs. Bruna Brasil, women's flyweights
  • Jonathan Micallef vs. Kevin Jousset, welterweights

So what are you going to do about it?

And how do you know they won't be good fights?

I personally don’t care if they are good fights or not. I can watch hundreds of little shows for good fights. I watch the ufc to see the best fighters in the world and fights that make a difference.

As for your other question that is harder because sadly my answer is nothing. I will buy it regardless. More over I watch all the ufc cards regardless so what does it really matter if they give me a poor ppv to put better fighters on free cards, besides just how I feel about it… but it does make a difference. I am watching the ppv with friends who I paid to watch with and it is where I appreciate the big fights most, watching the rest by myself most fights aren’t as exciting.

Yep normally I ask my friends if they want to join and see PPVs, but no way I'm asking them to go see 312

Your signature 'favorite fighters' tell me everything I need to know about your silly thread.

I feel you dawg.

I have a similar sliding scale with the only glaring difference being, that when the very elite of elite are fighting, I again chose to watch them alone, not wanting to be distracted by opinions less qualified. But I always do try do have a bit of fun in the play-by-play threads if I am able ;)

Only other comment would be, that sadly the UFC is no longer the best of the best, and seems more and more conducted and construed.

Any card can turn out to be good in practice but people want to feel excited to tune in. Being invested in the outcome is half the fun in many cases.
True my friend, they are very different indeed.

Although, when I don't have a lot of knowledge of the match ups, they are a different kind of fun, less predictable and no chance of disappointment if a favourite loses.

To be honest my first response to @doozer 's thread was a bit spicy with the intention and intent to elicit a few responses... Because I had seen it go to the second page of threads without a single response and wanted it not to go that way. We all like out threads to get a bit of action!

Thanks for making this thread. What would we ever do without it? Was sitting around wondering what you were thinking about this card.
Isn’t this what we do in these forums, we talk about things, we talk about what we are excited for, we talk about what we are unhappy about? I was just reviewing 312 and was surprised no one had made a thread discussing it so I started the discussion. There are a ton of threads, when I see one I’m not interested in I just don’t open it.

lol thanks.

Name wise it’s ass. Total ass.

Could be some good fights and entertaining shit, but you’re kidding yourself if you think that’s a good PPV.

3/10 and I’m being generous.
