I think Alex avoids him as well. Straight into retirement. No one will remember Anks first win and everyone will remember this stoppage.

Why would anyone want to remember Ank's win over Poatan? That's the kind of fight you try to forget. The second fight is a big help in that regard.

Either show some medical proof of your injuries or shut the fuck up. It serves for Poatan in the first fight also. They film everything anyway. I hate this.

Well yea, that's what I mean. He will retire before he fights Ank.

Probably a few big money fights. It is what it is.

It may seem like I'm an Ank fan lol - I'm not. I just rooted for him against Alex because his influencer persona was irritating.

I would like to see a 3rd fight between them. I like to see things settled instead of years of "What if?"

i can believe this because if he had broken ribs before the fight and THEN Alex elbowed the fuck out of his rib he'd have immediately tapped, cringed in severe pain, screamed out, gasped or something. no fuckin ways a professional striker just smash you in the broken ribs and you keep covering your head.

The first Poatan/Ankalaev fight was okay as a fight in isolation, but it was a terrible performance by Poatan and mostly a failure by Ankalaev to take advantage of that terrible performance. Ank scratched out a close win on a night where Poatan was thoroughly ordinary and barely throwing any punches. Maybe Poatan was 40%, or maybe he was 85% and just didn't take the fight seriously enough, but he definitely wasn't a championship caliber fighter that night and Ank's performance was entirely unimpressive and low-fight-IQ given Poatan's performance.

There are definitely significantly worse fights between high-level high-weight-class fighters than Poatan/Ank I--it was certainly no Lewis/Ngannou or Bader/Davis--but most of those are cases of opposing fight styles that strongly encourage inaction or poor gas tanks rather than a couple of great fighters shitting the bed at the same time.

I never like unfinished business.

1-1 and both sides came with excuses (legit or not). They should run it back.

The animosity between camps makes it even more dramatic and entertaining.
 
That looks like it shows opposite. His hair is over the top of his ears on his left side in the rib video and looks like he could easily pull his hair down into his eyes. Unless his hair grew like 3 inches in 24 hours, there is no way the rib video is from after the fight. Plus, Pereira only threw 2 elbows to the body and both were reaching over the top of Ank's leg.

It seems he had been letting his hair grow out a bit and then cut it shorter and trimmed his bead for media day.



His hair and beard in the rib video more matches how he looked at fight night. The vid has to either be from AFTER the fight or much further back than claimed.

I think you got it backwards. His hair and beard in the rib video look exactly like the first video, not the weigh in video.
 
Wonder if the UFC or UFC medical staff told Pereira to target that spot since they knew 🤔

I remind everyone how Paulo Costa was clowned for not finishing Luke Rockhold. Turns out he broke his hand in the fight and needed surgery immediately after. He never made excuses.

Then we got a guy, who needs to be a man first, allegedly breaking his hand and losing to Merab. Free flowing excuses afterwards.
Ratlip couldn’t finish a short notice Usman, coming to a higher weight class. “But but he sprained his finger in the fight” free flowing excuses for a close fight again. These guys and their fans are full of 💩.
