i think in building an argument, often times mixing in weak evidence with strong ones makes the argument appear weaker, as opposed to just stating the strong ones.

i dont care if frank mir tested positive. i dont care if his relative tested positive. i dont care if jones had a strange speech pattern when saying he was 'off steroids' against cormier.

the absolutely solid evidence is already there. jones has tested positive multiple times and is a bona fide cheater.

And any lawyer would present the fact that Mir, who is a long time teammate of Jones, tested positive for the exact same substance. The fact that Jones brother tested positive for PEDs in the NFL would also be included. Why? Because it contradicts the ignorant/innocent defense that Jones constantly uses. Neither facts prove that Jones is guilty, but they describe the type of environment that Jones is living in.

Additionally, Mir's case establishes a precedent for what type of suspension we might expect for a first time offender, which is why we can conclude that Jones' punishment will be greater than two years.

Well lets be fair then about cycling. The most widely accepted GOAT is Eddy Merckx and he was a repeated PED offender, popped 3 times. That guy failed when tests weren't even precise lol, he was juiced to the upper limit and he's still considered GOAT. Its mostly MMA fans that throw a fit over this stuff.
