He'll be back, better than ever.
Best of luck to him , whether it's mental illness or CTE .
I’m hoping for the best like all of you. That being said I can only speak from personal experience. I feel like I’ve been posting nonstop about my friend who’s a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic. He’s lucky in that he goes through episodes that last 2-3 weeks and then he recovers either naturally or through adjusting his medication. But what makes me worry about Tony is that my friend’s doctor’s first piece of advice was to switch careers. He was in a high stress industry and that can trigger episodes. I have to imagine that all the stresses associated with a career as a fighter will not bode well. Of course this is all assuming that Tony is mentally ill.
