Ever Walk out of a movie?

"How High". I just couldn't high enough for that movie. Just terrible.
I actually forgot I walked out of that movie it was so bad.

Blankman is another I walked out of, well actually I was woken up, people said I was snoring so I figured it was a good time to leave.

Last of the Mohicans

To be fair Sam was like 9 years old when the movie was in theaters.
say what? You missed the end when Chingachgook tears through all the Huron and lays the hammer down on Magwa, shame on you to deny your 9 year old self that cinematic greatness

He did have a lifetime of heart problems that eventually did him in years later but I'm still holding Transformers II responsible.
Oh well at least your last memory of him wasn't leaving him asleep in the theatre. That would be shit to explain. Write michael bay a letter maybe you could get some money.

The Thomas Crown Affair, and Bats. I worked at the movie theatre and could see anything for free, I still wanted to be reimbursed.

I would have walked out of the Last Jedi but I had my son with me and was expecting something redemptive to happen.

You wanna know what's really fucked up? I still haven't seen the whole movie. What makes that worse is I'm Native and have hung around Wes Studi.

Gonna have to download it and catch up.

The end scene to me is one of the greatest I've ever seen. Don't want to ruin it for you but the way Chingachgook goes it's like there isn't anything; be it god, the weather, whatever..... nothing is going to stop that man from getting his due. Sometimes I'll play the soundtrack from that scene when I go running or lift and that image is in my head and the level of focus and determination it inspires is amazing.

I was about to get up and leave when i went to see Lord of the Rings, thinking the film was about to end. But it was only halfway fucking through. I somehow managed to endure the next hour and a half.

No I am homeless and there's nowhere else I can sleep.

No joke, the last movie with all the fake outs ... I stood up every time ready to leave only to have to sit back down lol

My Lord of the Rings story- went to see the last of the three movies "return of the king" or whatever. My roommate got really stoned in the parking lot before the movie (which he did before almost all activities). He fell asleep about 20 minutes into the movie and about 20 minutes before the end he wakes up and yells "who shit themselves?" Turns out there was a family behind us, their kid had shit his pants and everyone started complaining about the smell, the parents argued for the remainder of the movie about who was going to go change the kid while the rest of us had to sit there and smell that. I couldn't even tell you the ending of that movie, but I can sure describe how foul that theatre smelled.

Was expecting this thread to be about movies being too unwatchable to stick around

Surprised at how bad the audience of many of these theatres have been.

I personally never had a movie ruined by fellow human beings

crazy

I literally get into arguments with my wife about going to the movies. I absolutely hate going to theatres anymore. My wife the other day talked about wanting to go see the Jurassic whatever coming out in a couple weeks I think. This is exactly how the conversation went;
her: come on, I really want to see it and so does my sister and brother. We can all go together.
me: why don't you just go with them? I don't like going to the movies, I'd rather watch it at home.
her: oh come on, it isn't something I ask you to do very often just do it and suffer through it for me.
me: Compelling argument, let's apply the same standard to you giving up your starfish or a little oral.
The conversation ended at that point.

Me and the wife have Thursdays/Fridays off

We often go to the late Wednesday show - hardly anyone shows up, it's awesome

Most moves come out on Friday and we don't see em til Wednesday :P

Infinity Wars!! So hard to wait

I don't walk out of movies; if they suck I finish my snack and go to sleep. So far it's only happened during a few:

Some Pokemon movie
Transformers 2
One of the X-mens
Avatar
Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull or whatever
Rogue One

Really? I wasn't as impressed as many seemed to be by it but I could at least sit through it.

I’m surprised Avatar is on here. Say what you will about a cliche plot, but it was beautifully made and the battle scenes were legit. At the very least worth staying if you already paid for the ticket.....unlike abominations like The Prince of Persia, Gods of Egypt, any movie starring A white person that wants to join a black Dance crew, and ends up in an epic battle of street cred.

Compelling plot/interesting story > beautiful cinematography
