about 20 years ago I was a teenager and I used to do the cleaning shift overnights at Kmart during weekends... I remember I used to go into their employees lounge area and shake the shit out of the vending machines...used to get free candy all the time (me and my buddy).... there were no security cameras in the lounge at the time, or I guess so because we never got in troubles

So to answer your question.... I dont remember exactly but I think maybe once or twice it has happened.... I would call it even and way more on my favor
