Grainy, Dry, Thick Muffin Texture
Sometimes you need a beverage to wash it down.

They both have similar ingredients, but the winner here is Mexican Corn Cake

Sounds like you've chosen some bad cornbread.

What happens if you deep fry it?

it's really good. it has a sweet corn taste to it. it usually has pieces of corn in it. it's kind of too sweet to eat too much of it, which is why it's served in small portions. it's usually ate at the end of a meal, as a sort of dessert kind of thing lol.

Never cared much for cornbread but everyone else seems to love it. Its good to mix with beans or peas but that's about it. I know a bunch of people that put it in their soup but i don't want that grainy texture in my soup....give me crushed saltines instead.

But that cake looks good.

Never tried it before, but I’m down to try it and give my opinion on if it’s better than what we call American cornbread

Had what I could only assume to be the same thing, but made by Puerto ricans. Pan de maiz. It’s good as hell. Would definitely try the OG version
