Ever drive drunk?

What sucks is that this is actually a good thread but it has already gone way off the rails.

But yeah, I've driven drunk. I always tell myself it was stupid the next day.

Yeah exactly. I'm not trying to show off or anything but just telling people it's dumb. I felt totally retarded the next day telling myself "why the fuck did I do that!" and could of easily told my girlfriend (who was sleeping but could of woke her up) to drive me. Seriously guys, Don't do it.

Yeah it's not worth it at all. I have only done it once and will not do it again, let alone drink. When i was a kid I worked with a guy that had Seizures periodically, was young too, very sad bro.
Yeah it sucks, I have however got extremely drunk and decided it would be worth it to ride my bike in the middle of the night to get some food, ended up swerving into traffic and got hit by car. Luckily I wasn't badly hurt but the guy who hit me well he thought it best to call the cops. I ran off with my bike as soon as I realized what he was doing.

Well good thing you weren't hurt, or did damage to the guy that hit you. Even biking drunk is dumb but people don't consider that dumb but you could cause problems to vehicles on the road.

I remember in 8th grade we had the police at school for something, I don't remember exactly and I asked one of them if I could be arrested for riding a bicycle drunk and he said of course you can

Yeah you can. What Bicycle riders (atleast around me) need to understand is you are considered a vehicle. That means you can't be riding on the sidewalk and have to follow road lights and such (stop signs, red lights, etc).

Started driving intoxicated as soon as I got behind the wheel at the age of 16

Have driven wasted more than 1000 times at least.

One exploit.

I live in the Los Angeles area, went down to Tijuana with a friend for the day ...

He drove, his car. So naturally I indulged.

All Day Tequila shots and beer, whores on tap , having a blast like there's no tomorrow .

Then My buddy lays it on me that he just can't make the drive home. And I sure as shit don't want to spend the night in a den of thieves.

So I take the Keys and drive us home.

From the Border of Mexico to the Orange County/LA County Border.

This same incident played out several times over my drunken career.

Another Similar incident had me driving home from an SDSU sorority party . The Actual driver couldn't hang , I was three sheets to the wind but didn't want to sleep on the frat house lawn and get arrested. so away we go...

Yeah that's pretty irresponsible. You could've hurt/killed someone or yourself. It's a pretty selfish and dumb thing to do.

The problem is that when you're sober you realize how stupid it is . . . but when you're drunk you're like, "Yeah, I'm fine, I got this."

My dads a alcoholic, has drove drunk as shit for 30+ years without any problems. He would drive drunk while i was in the car as a young kid (mom was at work working night shift, second job) and would get a 12 pack of beer and decide he needs another 12 back, took me with him since i was little and didn't want to leave me at the house. I remember he almost ran over someone because he meant to press the breaks (but he pressed the gas) and telling me, it's only a packie who gives a fuck. Yeah I had a bad dad and childhood. My dad was a racist piece of shit drunk white dude that didn't give a fuck about anyone but himself. My mom worked 3 jobs and took me swimming and put me in sports but my dad just stayed at home drinking after work.

All I can say to you is this

I can't condone drinking and driving , though you can get away with it and it may seem fun, you are nothing short of a serious fuck up if you get caught or heaven forbide actually fuck shit up in the act. Just don't don't do it.

I'd also like to say this.

I hear your story and have heard many others like like it, but do you have a question you'd like to ask? or a conclusion you'd like us to address? because what you wrote is just an open ended statement and I care not to fill in the blanks.

I've never done that but My gf tells me that her mom does it all the time driving home from the bar

No, I'm not trying to ask any questions but trying to tell people not to do it. I got away with it this one time and won't be doing it again, let alone drink again ( this made me quit drinking because I can't handle it obviously driving drunk not giving a shit). I have my dads jean and my uncles jean, and my grandma's jean, and my grandma's jean) You get the picture right? All my relatives were alcoholics. My uncle used to be very rich (was a lawyer in London) and lost his job, family, and kids over alcohol. He died in a 1 bedroom shitty apartment I guess from his liver failing ( he had liver cirrhosis but couldn't stop drinking). He would come over and shake like a leaf because he didn't have a drink. He would consume 3 bottles of 750ml of whiskey a day and just couldn't stop.

I used to when I was young, reckless and incredibly selfish. I remember one time, bordering on blackout drunk, driving home at 180 km/h with no seat belt (intentional) on twisty, rural roads with no streetlights.

Thank god there were no other drivers out that night.

That was one of those moments you look back on and cringe and wonder how the hell you made it through in one piece.

Of course. But not anymore. I drove well believe it or not.

Not good. I went 300 KM racing some dude in a civic down 68th street just after the video (long straight rode in my city with no lights).

When i'm sober though, ill do some 0-60 racing at street lights if it's presented. I have no shame in that but drunk driving is super dumb and irresponsible.
