Ever Been to a chiropractor?

I wonder if most chiropractors actually believe their own bullshit
They do. I had a physical therapist colleague who went that route. You change into professional environment with zero critical self reflection on congresses...etc and you can make a lot more money as these adjustments are quick and you sell them for basically every symptom. Making a lot of money is a huge motivator to shut down all internal critical mind.

I personally know two patients that had a stroke after chirpractice. Never ever let them do your cervical spine.

I would just get a massage instead. Wont fix anything long term but can help with tension.

My neck has hurt for about a year now. So I figured I would try a chiropractor as my doctor sure can't seem to figure it out. So I went for an initial consultation. Of course he discovered "I think you need chiropractic work."

I'm thinking "Great! That's why I am here. Let's do it." He says, "We will need to take x-rays. I will schedule you to come in tomorrow at 2 PM. "

I'm thinking, "Shoot, I already had to get off work early today for this, and my neck hurts now and I really wanted to get some help, but OK I'll get off early again tomorrow and do the x-rays. then this guy can look at them and figure out what he needs to do."

So I get off work early and do the x-rays, and he says "I'll schedule you tomorrow at 2 PM and we can review these x-rays."

Im thinking, "Can't you review them right now and help with this damn neck pain?"

I say, "I can't get off of work early three days in a row. Do you have anything after 4 PM at least. "

"Unfortunately no, we close at 3 pm."

"OK well then I'll come in for a weekend appointment."

"We are not open on the weekends."

So now I have to get off early sometime next week. And I will lose my shit if we go over the x-rays and he says, "See there? that's what we need to work on. I'll schedule you for an appointment tomorrow at 2 PM."

I hope it's worth it because I've already paid for the damn X-rays and I don't want to switch to a new chiropractor who will make me jump through all the same damn hoops.

Your experiences?
Chiropractors are generally useless in my experience. Sounds like your experience is somehow worse.

Go get a massage and fix your posture instead. Also, remember not to tip.

Every two weeks. Is it quack science? Maybe. Does it make me feel good and is paid for by my insurance? Yes.

My Dad retired from chiropractic recently. He retired at 81 and was the second oldest practicing Chiro in the state. I've been around it forever. And, yeah, you can run into some charlatans. One of the easiest ways to spot them is saying they can fix or cure you. They cant. It isnt a cure, its therapeutic. If they tell you theyll fix everything, find another guy.

Also, Chiros have the best goddamn massage therapists in existence. Holy fuck.

That's why I prefer going to the traditional asian chiropractors. They don't make you do the meaningless x-rays and shit. Just lie down, cracks your back and gives you that orgasmic ring dinger and off you go. Cheap and quick.

OMG bro! That's exactly what I'm looking for.

I've always looked for a chiropractor that didn't do X-rays and other meaningless tests, and I found one but he retired, then I found another and he actually died.

And I've been on the hunt for another one ever since.

I never thought to seek out the Asians.

Thanks for the idea!
