I've heard a few YouTubers saying "Eternals is going to flop! After Black Widow losing money, is this the end of the MCU?"

*Sigh* No, even if this is a ROYAL flop, not even making back its production budget, before marketing and theater cuts, then all eyes are going to be on the Spider-man movie releasing in December.

And, probably, its going to be a billion-dollar movie, the first since the pandemic ended.

It has Spider-Man & Doctor Strange, and rumored to have Tobey Maguire & Andrew Garfield returning as... Spider-Men?

And they're going to be fighting the Sinister Six - lead by Alfred Molina's Doc Oc, William Dafoe's Green Goblin, whoever else AND Venom (As revealed in the Venom 2 post-credits scene.)

This movie is going to be HUGE, appealing to multiple generations of Spider-Man fans over the last 20 years.

The MCU is going to be alive and well, but they're going to be more picky about which obscure comics will be greenlit into their own movies. The main reason why Guardians of the Galaxy was such a success was because of the visionary talent of James Gunn.
Well according to stuff I've seen from leakers/scoopers Sinister Six is not in this movie (and all villians was shown in teaser) and Venom 2 was setting up something else (Venom 3 or Spider-Man 4 or Venom vs. Spider-Man).
Sorry if I dissapoint you with this info.

So.... in the trailer Doctor Strange is using his reality-bending powers on top of a train against Doc Oc and Green Goblin?

Seems a bit like overkill.

Not sure I understand you right. Seems like there will be 5 villains, I think Foxx confirmed his return as Electro even before they started shooting. And if I understand it right, Empire magazine this Thursday confirmed 2 other returning actors/villains. Don't know how to use spoiler tags properly, sorry.
I didn't read the whole article, but I read another leaks on Reddit (and I think some from 4chan) and in which I believe might be a real leak there is a different line up of bad guys, different post-credit scene and some other stuff differs.

I guess this is the Inhumans movie version.

Had high hopes for this as their was so much potential . Heard the story is stupid and makes no sense.

Eternals would of been easy to make great with all potential there. They had to really try to make it bad.

Waiting for the end credits right now in the theater.

It was a massive piece of shit.
You would have to be "dense" to enjoy this movie.
I thought maybe it would be a different style of movie that we hadnt yet seen in the MCU, but, it was just bad.
3 out of 10.

what is the end credit scene?

Overall, I actually thought it was pretty good. Not perfect, but pretty good. I don’t understand the super harsh criticism some have for it. I thought the plot, although time jumpy, was fairly easy to follow and I was super impressed with how they handled the scale of the celestials. Solid 7/10

This saddens me since you and I have similar taste. Still going to see it if ever the cinemas open around here.

Once again, the audience score tells a different story than these so called movie “experts”.

At the end of the day, it’s all just another opinion, and a person is best suited to form one of their own by experiencing it for themselves.

I’m sure I will enjoy the movie. My personal opinion is that like said previously, this would have been better suited as an InHumans vehicle, but they already sullied that franchise by trying to make them the MCU version of “mutants” before getting the rights back to XMen.

I also love the guys in here that traditionally shit on the MCU, but still watch the movies just for the sake of shitting on them again. How’s anyone gonna take them seriously when they have a clear bias, just the same as folks should take my opinion with a grain of salt since I am clearly “pro” biased towards the MCU.

Have never read any Eternals as I don't think they were part of the main Marvel continuity when I was reading comics. I know they're part of it now and linked to Thanos etc, but really I know nothing about them other than it was Kirby trying to finish / continue his New Gods work from when he was at DC.

Wasn't hyped for the movie but was still excited for more MCU stuff.... bummed about the poor reviews but I'll watch it anyway. Hoping it looks cool at least...
