he needs 14 wins to get the ozeki nod, it would be something. but that's a hard number to reach, he'd have to go through kotozakura and onosato.Oh no Sato
I'd really enjoy a Kirishima yusho
He's ok but so far the other ukrainian is the one more likely to make waves. What do You guys think about the Ukrainian sumotori?

Yeah, and he's only 21. He's going to be around for a good while.Wow impressive career AND speaks Japanese! :O
Onosato seems lost if one doesnt simply come forward at him. he's being figured out. you just have to move sideways a lot and his game is drastically reduced.Takerufuji's injury has really derailed his momentum
Onosato's big glaring flaw is really being exposed this basho. If he can't blast his opponent out, he seems lost for a plan B. He's still very young and very green, I expect he'll improve with time but this has been a bad basho for our Yokozuna
Same today. i'm never sure about the dead body rule, but i was under the impression that if both are in a "dead body" position, the one outside the ring loses. but hey, it was a good effort from Ichiyamamoto. Onosato is close to the pack, he might make the playoff.Onosato fighting his ass off for that W today.
Gonna be an interesting last few days
Yeah I thought he got real lucky with that call today.Same today. i'm never sure about the dead body rule, but i was under the impression that if both are in a "dead body" position, the one outside the ring loses. but hey, it was a good effort from Ichiyamamoto.
