News ESPN Raising Price of UFC PPVs and ESPN Plus in 2021

Illegal streaming for profit made its way into the covid relief bill. This will give manpower to Dana to track these fools and shut them down. The "for profit" is total bs and they will have more power to shut them all down. We will see.

They'll be shutting down a lot of sites soon, mark my words. That's why the price has increased.. UFC doesnt give a fuck about the fans.. but people are still dumb enough to buy their merch and everything else willingly, and happily.

70$ ?!

There better be plenty of WMMA on the main card along with some contender series fighters debuts.

At some point it turns into a total rip off. No one likes getting ripped off. I've missed a few ppv's live and saving that money feels real good.

This might be it for me. I hate to say it.

I'm going to have to be very selective now.

Even more reason to not pay for them. The watered down cards was enough but raising the price isn't helping.

Hey maybe some of it will go to the fighters for higher pay!

Everytime they do this its always doom and gloom and yet they keep rolling, keep selling millions of PPV a year and make more money.

Most of people here stream them illegally anyway so who gives a shit about the extra 5 bucks you arent paying.

The ESPN+ price hike sucks but thats life, the price of everything goes up.

I can see it now, Amanda Nunes headlining a card with a decent co-main and 3 wack undercard fights for 69.99.

Hahaha Enjoy your $70 PPVs and 20% GDP healthcare. I'm living overseas and I get all events on a sports channel for $15 a month, and universal healthcare for $70 a month. I'm gonna be so shafted when I move back to America and have to succumb to being butt fucked by giant corporations again :(

Not sure what you mean, my health care is payed for by my company benefits.

Become one with the corporations.

I wonder if ESPN guided the UFC to follow their pricing model? ESPN has fewer subscribers than in the past, but they charge them a lot more to make up for cord cutters.

Anything over $50 is too much, but that's my limit. Obviously others (suckers) will go higher.

I am not going to buy 257, 258, or 259 for that price.

These hikes are getting ridiculous. I am not saying I will never buy again but I will definitely buy less and it is going to mean less money from me overall.

70 bucks, I should get multiple mens championship bouts.
I 100% agree with you.

My father watches a lot of the big fights with me. So he is coming to town to watch the Conor McGregor fight. I told him today about the price increase and he was appalled. It’s now 70 bucks a fight. It’s ridiculous. The ESPN plus membership does nothing. No discount whatsoever. So what’s the point?

It’s a crazy world we live in...

Many people are struggling and the pandemic is wrecking lives, careers, families etc... and these large corporations are concocting ways to charge customers more and more.

I hope this backfires and they suffer for this. Greedy bastards!!
Yeah well they need the money they lost with no crowds. Cant get by on streams alone.

Inflation

likely not, based on inflation trend lines:

it's just UFC behind earnings projections, which is a different thing and a fuck you to the consumer. ESPN sux penisdicks.
