There have already been a lot of holes poked in her accounts, which is much of the reason so many people are happy to dismiss her outright.

But people don't tend to understand that it's pretty normal for trauma survivors to have all sorts of gaps and inconsistencies in their memories of events. Your brain doesn't register things very accurately in high stress moments.

Not only that, but when you are a child or even a teen the chances that you understand the big picture of what is happening are already low, which compromises your memories of the small details because to a child or teen with so little experience and real world context those details feel random and remembering them feels more like a trivia test than a structured account.

We only think we remember our childhood and teen years somewhat accurately because those memories have never been cross examined by a high paid defense attorney.

This is pretty strange. Its her post stating she has four days to live and that she was hit by a school bus.


A school bus hitting a car at 110kph would completely destroy any car. Survival would be unlikely.

Plus a school bus involved in such a accident would definetely make the news. And police in her state have no record of it.

It’s not clear where or when the crash occurred or what state. News.com.au has contacted Western Australian Police which is the last known location where Ms Giuffre has lived.
