When we realized excessive co2 was contributing to climate change , some people knew this in the 70's , it took awhile longer for everyone else .

20 million years ago co2 concentration was down to below 300 molecules in every one million molecules of air , it's now over 400.

CO2 emissions are not the only measure of pollution. To properly dispose of waste, it takes CO2 to do so. Dumping your trash and or not properly disposing of it is cheating your system of measurement.

US CO2 emissions are also down 10% in the past ten years despite our pop growing by 10% in almost the same amount of time.
