I doubt Khamzat wants to go through a hard weight cut just to be backup, regardless of being paid.

If he's gonna make 170, it's to fight for the belt.

Considering Belal makes weight, fights multiple ranked fighters, and Usman was supposedly injured, it made sense for Belal to hold out for a shot against the guy he has unfinished business with. Belal has consistently called out Khamzat who was radio silent, and Khamzat's manager was on record talking about turning down fights

He has beaten better opposition than Khamzat since 2019 and holds a better record too at WW while never missing weight.

Ain't walking away he has beaten no top 3.. That is a fact and he was offered the Chimaev fight didn't want it. That is on him

Khamzat turned down Belal. Belal turned down Khamzat according to who? Chael? Cormier?

Belal beat 2 top-5's and 4 top-10's, Khamzat has 1 good win

Shouldn't matter what he wants at this point. He needs to prove to the brass that he can make 170 and what better way to do it without much consequence.

Khamzat defeated Burns via a decision that could've gone Burns way. Belal by his track record and immaculate professionalism is way more deserving than Khamzat of a TS.

This is a waste of time anyway. Chimaev will probably never make WW weight again.

I think it does matter what he wants.

Everyone knows the cut to 170 is tough for him. He's not gonna accept the responsibility and punishment to his body to make 170 for the very small chance he gets to fight. If he's gonna make a cut, he's gonna fight too.
 
Is UFC going to debut a new 178.5 lb division?
 
Borz is off my radar right now. He came into the UFC ready to fight. And then poof. Covid and whatever. The UFC strong armed Edwards into accepting that fight. And Borz couldn’t make it.

I just don’t care anymore. Like any fighter. If you aren’t fighting don’t expect me to give a shit about you.

And now it appears Borz, and the UFC are moving on from the WW TS. The last 2 years have been a complete and utter waste.
