You said “most scientists” believe in intelligent design is absolutely not true. Before I went to law school I was working towards my Masters in molecular genetics. In my grad school days I didn’t know a single scientist that espoused any belief in ID theory. Posting a video of a dozen random scientists from an assortment of scientific fields is not evidence that “most scientists” believe in ID.

Sure, but most people in academics and science are overwhelmingly dominated by liberal views and espousing conservative views might get you shunned or thought of as less intelligent. The fact the video says they are "speaking out" implies that it's not a commonly talked about opinion as it's probably viewed as taboo. That was my takeaway.

It takes courage to freely give true opinions on these things in that community. I could have worded my statement a lot better.
