He just slashed prices on the Cybertruck.
I guess people don’t want to pay 100k for a vehicle that when you drive other drivers openly laugh at you.

Not to mention being such a visible figurehead for the company isn't helping Tesla's brand image with the consumers it had previously found success with.
His Robo Taxi launch was also very embarrassing.
He'll do fine with American right-wingers by claiming he bought Twitter for free speech and then deleting tweets and closing accounts for Trump or Musk criticism though.
As seen when he nuked the account which posted Trump's opposition research on J D Vance.
Doubtful many will care about his targeted advertising falsely representing the Harris campaign while pretending to be them, nor his obvious interest in buttering up Trump to get his hands on taxpayer's money.

It is funny because I have seen posts from Cybertruck owners bitching about people laughing at them on the road.
Imagine paying 100k for a vehicle, that when you drive it, people openly laugh at your life choices. Tesla rushed the truck out too fast, there is a litany of owners complaining about shit constantly breaking on it.

I must admit I find all the talk about Tesla's woes a bit counterintuitive, because locally I see more and more on the road. Really exploded in popularity over the past year.
No Cybertrucks here obviously.
I guess if it's because of the aggressive price cuts that's not necessarily a reflection of corporate success.

The cars are great if you have a city with a good charging infrastructure or home charging station. They are not so good if you live in a flood area, or you need to take long road trips.
The CyberTruck will go down as Elon's Edsel.

I'm assuming the ones I see are all second or third cars for the household, because long road trips aren't really avoidable around here.
I'm mostly seeing them on the daily commute though, so their main use could definitely be as shopping carts and suburban run abouts.
The local charging infrastructure has definitely stepped up recently as well, a couple of years ago it was almost non-existent.
Definitely not selling as a response to Elon as brand ambassador.
Not that electrics are chart toppers. Excluding the Ford Raptor and Toyota Hilux (which are pretty much ubiquitous in trades, replacing real utes), the Toyota RAV4 hybrid is far and away our most popular car.

I would not at all be surprised if elon's support of trump does some damage to tealas stock.

Just anecdotally, I would never buy a Tesla because of it and some of the people I know who really love their Tesla cars are pretty bummed about what Elon is doing and I would guess maybe wouldn't buy a second one.

Buy Rivian if you want to go electric. Much better quality and the company’s figurehead
doesn’t give every one of their drivers secondhand embarrassment.

.
You do see a pattern. The pattern is Trump is a dishonest criminal and associates with people who practice greedy, dishonest lying criminal behavior.

it’s funny how accomplished, upstanding people magically become greedy, dishonest lying criminals the moment they show support for trump.

I want elon's support of trump to damage tesla’s stock.

Just anecdotally, I would never buy a Tesla because of it and some of the people I know who really love their Tesla cars don’t give a flying fuck what I think.

I think it's obvious that Tesla would be selling even more cars had musk stayed out of politics , shareholders have a legitimate beef imo
