I suggest you actually read AFD and PVVs manifestos cause theyre not subtle and many of the policies they wish to introduce would be disastrous. It is plainly obvious that, mainly americans, trying to normalise actually have no idea how european political climate functions. Europe had been focussed on systems of mediation since WW2 and left v right ideoligies were being removed. The very notion of us v them politics returning negates the arbitratory system.

My guess is that he did it on purpose to provoke people or because he thought it was funny. It was still an incredibly stupid gesture to make, and I really hope he apologizes for the optics, at least, even if he denies it was intentional.

I'm not saying people should apologize every time someone wrongly accuses them of being offensive.
