There's no way to be racist without being hateful. There's no tolerant and kind way to see other races as lesser human beings. If you had said, "I know lots of racists, but none of them act on it" that would have been different. But claiming racists aren't hateful is like claiming shit doesn't stink

I think this is like 99% right, but would say there probably some tiny slice of grey that might have some views that would be likely considered technically racist but aren't hateful. Like some folks who go into IQ stats and stuff might think certain races on the whole have superior IQs and intelligence, but that doesn't mean they have to be hateful about it or treat others as lessers because on the whole their might be some IQ differences across races.

It's of course an icky subject because history has too many cases of assholes using this as excuses to loot, pillage, murder, genocide each other but I don't lose my shit over someone maturely pointing out evolutionary factors that would likely be considered technically racist but not hateful.

But yeah, anybody that thinks individuals should be discriminated against because of racial group stats, or feels justified in a group of people being subjugated in non-meritocratic ways because of some largely theoretical intelligence arguments are overwhelmingly hateful assholes.
