He, and them, do pay a shit ton of taxes. He paid like 11 billion in taxes a couple years back after cashing in stock. People often think that because someone doesnt pay income taxes, or a very small amount of it, that they arent paying taxes, and thats just not how it works when youre that wealthy and its tied up in your companies. Theres very little "hoarding", as if they're Smaug the Dragon sitting on a massive pile of gold.

Fuck em and special "rules" they play by. If billionaires are donating to charities than I would be wary of those charities, cause billionaires didn't get to where they are by being nice. Majority of them are out of touch cunts that only care about hoarding even more wealth for themselves while giving the bare minimum back to the community.

If you get to the point that you have 1 billion dollars in your account, you should get a "you win at capitalism" trophy and any money you earn over that billion dollars should go straight to the government (which then should invest that money into improving the country).

I think the real question we should be asking ourselves is whether we should continue as a society to accept the „growth at all cost“ paradigm as state religion.

we must understand that the Consumption part of GDP is like 50-60% and the most of Government spendings ends up being spent for consumers, so that between 2/3 or 3/4 of GDP growth is attributable to consumers in developed democracies.

And population growth is the main driver of that consumption. It‘s not hard to understand why our policy makers freak out about population decline and why they keep on importing people, mostnof which end up in big cities anyways.

In the end, the neo-liberal world order doesn‘t factor in overpopulation in economicly strong areas, crime and wealth inequalties, just as long as we have growth and corporations are happy.

If you think that this shit is going to end any time ever I have bad news, it won‘t. Even if one country was going to say we are going to tax the super wealthy and redistribute the value added created by technology, thus not needing immigration and being happy with a slightly declining population, not only would the progressists within that country sabotage the idea from within (because progressists are always manipulated by capital), but then international competition would kill the countries that derail from the neoliberal docta.

We just need to accept that capitalism has peaked and that it‘s going to suck for society a little more every year.

Yeah, 11 billion isnt much compared to his entire wealth, but he only paid that much because that's the amount of stock he cashed. If he had gotten rid of ALL of his stock, he would have paid far, far more. Thats why the dont pay income tax. They only pay tax when they actually use things like stock, which they might only do every few years.

Yes, there is little hoarding because they use their wealth to expand and invest. Yes, they utilize the tax code to spend less on taxes. But, like I said, that doesn't mean they're just amassing all this cash in a bank account. Thats not how wealth at that level works.

Not saying its not impactful, but his net worth is about $500 Billion... so 1/4 billion is only 0.0005% of his net worth.
