Crime Elon Musk is having secret convos with Putin

I think the worlds richest man, and a key government contractor in the field of communications and aerospace having private discussions with a hostile foreign power should be a deep concern regardless of your political leaning.

It's not illegal, but the risks are obvious. It seems like a no-brainer that there should be some level of regulation on how private citizens should be allowed to communicate with leadership in even contentious governments.

I know some people love Elon but your man crush shouldn't supercede common sense.

Russia is our enemy, but China isn’t? Interesting take.
Its not interesting take to anyone non-retarded

China is America's third largest trade partner and an important cog of the international supply chain, they are major trade partners of everyone in the world and they depend on the West as much as we depend on their cheap stuff to keep world's prices low.

They are an hostile rival but they kind of are interconnected to the rest of the world, so its more like a rival or a frenemy.

Russia is a rogue nation, run by religious-nationalist zealots with delusions of grandeurs, their major exports are mostly energy and they don't give a shit if the world goes to shit because they aren't looking to replace or surpass the West they just want everyone to be as miserable as them.

They are basically Slavic ISIS with nukes, absolutely nothing of worth comes from Russia outside of natural resources.

Oh and Starlink isn't in Russia.

There are rumours it is. You can take it with a pinch of salt as it came from the Ukrainians but they are convinced that Russian targeting got a whole lot better and their actions more coordinated due to being secretly given Starlink. The Ukrainians would know because they know how much Starlink helped them when the received it.

I believe the Ukrainians as much as I believe Russia blew up its own pipeline.

Why would Musk give it to Ukraine and Russia? That's some long game CT akin to Obama's mother faking his birth certificate so that he could run for potus in 50 years.

And of course you can hurl the tears about ignorance, but not substantiate them. I take it you're still sore after the last time I humbled you in front of the forum. I'm here to fact check partisan hacks. I don't care if you find it inconvenient.

-- Trump never repealed the Magnitsky Act.
-- Trump supplied anti-tank missiles and other weaponry to the Ukraine.
-- According to Democrats and their careerist mouthpieces like former CIA Director John Brennan, "Russia would be able to have its way in Ukraine and Syria.” Yet Putin didn't invade and initiate his war against the Ukraine during Trump's presidency. He did that during Biden's Presidency. Russia also established military bases in Syria during Obama's regime. Trump bombed Assad's military bases in Syria. US forces trained Ukrainian troops back in 2017. US forces in Syria even engaged, repelled, and caused heavy casualties to Russians in Syria in 2018 under Trump. Hm, something doesn't add up, Mr. Brennan.
-- Trump successfully utilized his unconventional tactics into prodding European leaders into spending $50bn more on NATO defense in 2019 than they spent in 2016. That's equivalent to the entire defense budget of France. This wasn't to make up a deficit from the US. Trump's administration contributed $48bn more to NATO in 2019 than 2016. All he achieved was to strengthen NATO significantly.
-- the years-long Mueller investigation found no evidence of a conspiracy between Trump's administration and the Russian state.

Forgot the part where Trump ordered MAGA to block Ukraine's military aid for 6 critical months during which Russia gained a lot of momentum.

But sure, they are afraid of Trump and his dealmaking abilities.

They literally had to make executive orders into law because Trump was considering undoing them, you mistake the heavy neocon influence and Trump's relative inexperience at the time with "being tough on Russia".

Because he is a fucking moron.

Why shouldn't Russia be hated? they use oil money and trolls to support every single shitty regime they can because they know a world in chaos makes Russia look better for comparison.

China is at least trying to rival and replace the US as a world superpower, and that means they need to embrace good governance, capitalism and trade

That link is saying that Russian forces killed 4 Ukrainian soldiers and captured the starlink system from them.

Chin spends a lot of time spying on us and stealing our tech for a frenemy.

And Russia is now run by religious zealous? This convo took a strange turn.

The Biden administration doesn’t see a conflict of interest.
Is Biden even able to stop dribbling these days? He seems more concerned with Musk being an illegal immigrant worker rather than national security concerns:

But others seem rightly concerned:

What Kompromat does Putin have on Musk? I don't think it would be hard to sucker that gimp into a compromising situation. Or he probably just threatened him with Novichok in the underpants and then Musk rolled over. It was kind of obvious how Musk went from anti-russia to pro-russia in the blink of an eye.

My bad, there are still reports of Russian's using Starlink terminals in annexed territory.

A rival then, someone who wants to replace the West, and replacing the West requires to try and surpass the West, which has forced China to embrace capitalism and semi-decent governance (as decent as brutal dictatorships can get).

For example while Russian support for Cuba was unconditional, China support for Cuba was conditioned on Cuba adopting Chinese-style capitalism, because otherwise without capitalism, Cuba would need subsidies forever and China doesn't wants to fall in the Soviet trap of running out of money.

I don't think the CCP needs to be trusted and i think Dems and Reps are doing relatively ok at fighting back (banning Tik Tok is a strong, message but also nearshoring key industries and supporting Taiwan).

But China right now is a nation that is critical for the world's supply chain, we need their exports an they need out exports.

That's what the CCP call a 'win win' situation. You just need to ignore their human rights abuse and they'll ignore yours.

He's not the world's richest man but probably the second after Putin. And that's Musk's own opinion. Putin alpha'ed Musk it's obvious. A KGB top dog vs. a tech nerd. Would have been too easy for him. The only human being who tells Putin what to do is Xi.

Musk has a security clearance, if there was anything of substance it would’ve been withdrawn.

And how would they know what gets said in these secret meetings? Seems very strange that Musk went from denouncing Russia invading Ukraine, giving them Starlink and then around the same time as he's supposed to have had a meeting with Putin, he starts bleating about how expensive supplying Starlink to Ukraine is and then going on to advise Ukraine to accept the 'peace' deal i.e. roll-over.

Musk is an asset to the US. They aren't going to cut him off when they know it would be so painful until they get forced to. They have sandbagged on Ukraine throughout the whole conflict so it's all on par for their behaviour. Just like their whole pantomime 'big drama show' act with Israel.

I don’t know what to tell you, bro, speculate all you want but everyone knows the Biden administration would have already leapt at the opportunity to revoke the clearance of the GOPs biggest billionaire donor if there was a reason to.

Yup, that's kind of how the world works.
