My feed has turned into nothing but street fights and videos of people getting shot, with MMA buried way beneath.
I know it's all algorithm based, and sometimes I have watched those videos (which is my fault), not very often, though, and never with any kind of comment, retweet, or real engagement: so I can't help but think it's been oversimplified to show 'fight' videos to someone who watches 'fights', which actually isn't the same thing when you're actually interested in MMA fights.
If I used Twitter more, I'm sure it would correct itself, but it's a real mess and I can't be bothered correcting it.
So for me, it's noticeably become a load of shit, and that's not even a political observation, it's just sloppy bullshit pushed from popular accounts that show 'raw' footage.
I've never had a Twitter account, but I can guarantee that it's not hard to personalize your feed. There are basic functions built in to filter feeds on any generic forum, let alone a beast like Twitter.
Regardless, the same shit happens on Youtube(and a billion other social media sites), and nobody is calling it a "broken dumpster fire". Only if someone who might hold a different political opinion buys it, would you see these petty complaints being billed as "the end times" for the platform. It's all just a game. Like micro-analyzing the TOS, as if the owner of the company is beholden to them, and should be banned for the most minor of violations. "He's trolling, REEEE!!!!"
I mean, come on. It's so obvious why these minor complaints are all of a sudden the end of the world. They wouldn't be out there, if Elon Musk was Mark Cuban, and he bought the platform. Nobody is fooling anybody here.
