What’s the matter you guys don’t like the idea any moreYour thread title is misleading.

After that we should add five more conservative justicesIf a Democrat is elected next and has the juice in the Senate, they should add 2 seats to the court......to UNSTACK it....even if it means ending the filibuster. The court would have a 1 seat conservative majority right now but for Republican hypocrisy at the end of Obama's 2nd and Trumps's first term. Adding 2 seats would leave a 1 seat conservative majority.
They didn't get "screwed" out of a SCOTUS pick. Obama didn't have the Senate and it was an election year. That's just the sour grapes I was talking about. You don't get to just add seats to the Supreme Court because you didn't get your way.The DEMs got screwed out of a seat when Obama wanted to appoint Garland. I would normally be against packing the court, but the GOP played dirty pool so all bets are off. Don't give me that "aw, shucks, it's just not right" BS.
Is it possible for you to be sincere? You quoted an old Warren article right? How can you spin that into "you guys"? Ask Warren if she's changed her mind if you're really dumb enough not to understand how context has shifted since the article was published. What’s the matter you guys don’t like the idea any more
Would you have voted for her and also by the way we had this thread back when they were tossing this around. You guys just have trumpnesia and can’t think past yesterday. It’s the advantage I have of having actual morals and ethics. My answers stay the same no matter who is in.Is it possible for you to be sincere? You quoted an old Warren article right? The other problem is some if them are radical conservatives that don’t care about the law, and one of them is openly taking bribes.A 6-3 conservative majority doesn't reflect America, but we are stuck with it. I think the DEMs should be just as aggressive as the other side when it comes to the courts. If that means packing the SCOTUS when they are able I am all for it. It's not like they play by the rules. Looking at you McConnell.
That election year stuff is BS. Republicans has control of the Senate at the end of Obama's second term and the end of Trump's first term and used their power for their own gain. It would be insincere to claim it wasn't McConnell's plan to block Obama from making judicial appointments as long as possible in hopes of a Republican taking the WH. If Hilary had won they probably would have tried to keep the dysfunction going another 4 years. They didn't get "screwed" out of a SCOTUS pick. They blocked it, breaking precedent, because it was an election year. Then they turn around and do it for Trump in an election year. It is not sour grapes. It was complete bullshit by McConnell and company. They didn't get "screwed" out of a SCOTUS pick. Obama didn't have the Senate and it was an election year. Yeah right, that's you're reputation around here, moral and ethical...Would you have voted for her and also by the way we had this thread back when they were tossing this around. I voted for Obama twice and I wasn't happy about it at the time either but the fact is they didn't have the Senate. There's a system in place to appoint SCOTUS nominees and the Senate is part of that. As far as McConnell having a "plan", I can't say. Let's say it's true though, what does it matter? The voters voted and the Republican's had the Senate majority. I don't blame anybody for hating the situation, but nobody got "screwed."That election year stuff is BS. Two different situations. They blocked it, breaking precedent, because it was an election year. Then they turn around and do it for Trump in an election year. It is not sour grapes. It was complete bullshit by McConnell and company.

The situations were different. You're free to hate the situation all you want but there's nothing I haven't acknowledged.@Confucamus It's hard having a conversation with you when you can't even acknowledge how that Obama/Garland situation went down then the 180 degrees McConnell did when the GOP had the WH. It's really tone deaf on your part if you didn't understand what was happening in front of you. Oh, well....

Did you guys spend a few years saying that the filibuster was racist only to use it every time? That election year stuff is BS. Yes, he had a plan, going back to the Tea Party in '10 the GOP plan was dysfunction no matter the cost. Block everything, and even shut down the government, led by the guy whose dad killed JFK that has the ugly wife. And that's what Trump said but Cruz stopped minding since Trump came into power and has had his nose stuffed up his ass since. Two different situations.
The only difference was the will of the Republican majority. They blocked the pick of an opponent and rushed through the pick of an ally. The situations were different. You're free to hate the situation all you want but there's nothing I haven't acknowledged.
Wait, I thought Cruz was the Zodiac?Yes, he had a plan, going back to the Tea Party in '10 the GOP plan was dysfunction no matter the cost. My dude, this is the ugly truth about politics. Nobody loves it. Again, you have every right to hate McConnell and his reasoning. The Turtle is crafty. But some people don't have morals or ethics and are willing to take advantage of every loophole and disregard any norm. In Trump's case he doesn't even care about the law as long as he has immunity.
Hey dickhead, I'm not "you guys", if you're so ethical go back through my post history before putting words in my mouth.Did you guys spend a few years saying that the filibuster was racist only to use it every time?
Which was, at that time, the will of the American voter. How do you think Republicans got the majority? The only difference was the will of the Republican majority.
Cruz is the brown noser. Trump won the primary and he immediately began ingratiating himself.Wait, I thought Cruz was the Zodiac?

You can't claim because someone won an election that whatever they do is the will of the people. How much backlash has Trump had for not following through on his promise to release the Epatein files? Do you think the will of the people is to give Maxwell cushy concessions while not even admitting to her crimes?Which was, at that time, the will of the American voter. How do you think Republicans got the majority?
