Elections Elizabeth Warren likely is running for President

Well at least we can agree she made a fool of herself. Before her story unfolding I never had an inclination that not knowing your heritage was a common thing, I mean outside of Rachel Doleza or something....

If Trump was called Eriksson or something and came out with a self administered DNA test disproving his own Swedish ancestry I could agree with that last part

Warren could have a Pocahontas level of foolery every single day of the week and she's still more fit for office than Trump ever was or will be.

Trump and his father lied about being Swedish since WW1 specifically for the benefit of their business.. because being German in the post-war period of both World Wars was bad for business.

Trump didn't come clean about it till the Art of the Deal that his family is actually German.

The Trumps lied and Warren was just wrong.

Haha well I’m not even going to get into your first point cause this isn’t a thread about Trump

Hey if I were a German in the middle part of the 20th century I’d lie about my ancestry as well, seeing as there were actual nazis back then to complain about. Warren also used the system in my opinion

So... it's ok to lie about your heritage for the benefit of your business for decades.... but it's not ok to be wrong about your heritage once or twice on a job application?

...bro from what you wrote...you are comparing hiding German heritage in the 20th century (Germany was part of two uhhh significant world changing events..) to quote on quote “believing incorrectly” that you are using a perceived heritage to further a career and then being triggered enough to disprove yourself....

I have a feeling we aren’t getting anywhere like all our conversations

I mean I get you don't want to admit you're being a bit of a hypocrite here so I accept your concession.

Well I just have a completely different take on that, statements like the American people who voted for Trump are gullible or dumb is why he will probably win again in 2020

Well we will just have to see. It’s a W for Trump because he has a person he’s ridiculed for years as Pocahontas apologize for that statement being correct. She will never apologize, I would say it’s an almost certainty. The moment Trump feels like his being “buried in facts” as you say all he needs to do is bring up Pocahontas in some way or another and there it is, distraction 101. I don’t think Warren makes it that far though. For all of Trumps faults one can at least say he’s too dumb to hide behind a persona and what you see is what you get. Warren comes off faker then her supposed heritage, look at her recent video drinking beer and shit.....cmon bro...
If you think he is going to be able to avoid every issue with some stupid Pocahontas schtick you really must think the republican party are the most gullible people on Earth.
Part of me thinks you guys just want it to have that big of an impact.

I’ve noticed the word concession is lost on a lot posters, your fellow goofs say the same all the time....but anyways like I said we aren’t going anywhere here. The whole Pocahontas act will be used against her ad nauseam and will sink her campaign, that’s my prediction as far as this thread goes

....alright like I said let’s wait and see

Glad you moved away from the world of conjecture into the world of reality, instead of assuming it's going to have a huge impact.
I've done my good deed for the day.

That’s how forums work no? Strictly opinions? That’s my opinion...it will have an impact on her campaign. Eh I’ll give you a pass for being a fan of Mark Margolis

I'm not sure how much of an impact it will have. I think the biggest issue about the whole thing was her pretending like she was right after she got the test back. Just made her look really really dumb.

Unfortunately, I think this is a bit naive. Let's remember that Hilary's e-mails received more MSM coverage than all policy issues combined in 2016. Do you think Hilary's e-mails ended up not mattering?

True, but as bullshit as the Hillary's emails issue was, there was still some veneer of legitimacy attached to it.

It brought up issues of trust and criminality. She's this criminal mastermind with ties to Saudi Arabia and Wall Street bankers who deletes entire email servers to cover up her foundation's shady schemes. It probably made a few fence sitters vote Trump or sit out the elections completely.

With the DNA thing there's nothing. Ok, she repeated family lore and wrongly stated she was part Native 30 years ago. And??

That's really the only blemish on her record. Aside from this, the only thing the right can lean on is her "not understanding the economy" and wanting to destroy the financial sector and all the usual fear mongering for anyone left of center.

I agree she looked foolish, but it's not the election killer people are making it out to be.

There is something though. She didn't just claim it 30 years ago. After the test she claimed she was right and that Trump owed her 1 million to her charity of choice. Do you understand how silly she is going to look if during national debates she keeps on pretending that having less native american in you than the average american makes you native american? It's going to make her look like she's fucking crazy.

The minute she got the test results she should have come out and said she made a mistake and was wrong. That she believed her mother's stories and her mother was clearly wrong. Everyone could at least understand that story but coming out and saying "I proved I was Native American" is not going to go over well. We all know it's going to be the first thing Trump brings up.

I agree she looked foolish, but it's not the election killer people are making it out to be.

I don't even think it's close to an election killer. Especially with all the shit Trumps got going on. Maybe if she was running against a more normal president it would be worse.

It sure is how forums work, great work, you're the one who was white knighting for your homeboy, and I was defending my position.

I’m not sure some of you folks understand the situation, she doesn’t have to worry about trump Pocahontasing her, she’s going to have to find a way to battle the democrat opposition using her minority status at Harvard to destroy her.

I can’t wait tbh.

Well congratulations to Republicans I guess on making her entire political platform and experience boil down to one "scandal" that isn't even important? Dunno what to say here, this is all a bunch of rabid nonsense.

I'd like to see the young candidates jump in against Warren, Sanders & Biden.

See who the last 2-3 standing are then work out amongst the party whether the old candidate runs with the young or vice versa.

The white male resistance is still strong enough that i don't think a woman can run against Trump.
Kamala might be able to, as her mere existence would tempt Trump into saying some racist sh*t but that would probably just score points with the right.

In what way was I white knighting Trump? All I’m doing is pointing out that the Pocahontas thing will haunt her for a long time

If the Ugandan nightmare is the nominee you might as well just give Trump the presidency again. Seriously I could see she guevara with a competent VP and a huge amounts of money thrown behind her make a run in 2024. Other than that...maybe Beto but that’s just Obama light even down to the way he speaks
