Are you okay bud?
No I think he lost his weiner in a freak accident with a lawnmower.
Are you okay bud?
Why do you assume this is just a tool to combat wrestlers? It is a tool for everyone. Making wrestlers more dangerous and allowing them to cause more damage is a good thing. How is that not more exciting? But more importantly, wrestlers will be the ones to truly benifit. No more free wall climbing to get back up. No more turtling because you can't fight off your back.
So congrats, in your effort to make MMA exciting you've offered more tools for wrestlers and turned full guard into a joke![]()
Yea, i mean it become mind numbing living off the internet for almost a decade now. I miss so much. I used to hike alot, do some bjj at a gym, ride atv's up mountains early in the morning. Felt so good having the cool morning dew mist past my face. Better than a coffee.Well at least you can frequent Sherdog for your fill of intelligent and unbiased fight discussion! Youve had a rough time man. Some guy with ALS got a neuralink installed recently, that’s something I thought was years away. Medical science is advancing at a very quick rate now and something will come along that sooner than later![]()

It was years of a hell trying one auto immuno surpressant to the next. Humira, enbrel, remacaid, cosentyx, xeljanz... and don't even get me started on health insurance making the whole thing that much worse. Sadly none of those helped, and they force u to do a 6-9 month trial on them before u can try something else even if the doc knows it aint helpin after a few months. All the while i was on over 60mg of prednisone a day cause my body was destroying it self. and making me prediabetic.. I was in so much pain all the time, i'd rather be in a permenent leg lock from palharas. And the depression from not even being able to wipe ur own ass, pooping urself in bed cause u can't move, not being able to even turn a door knob.. having ur friends come by to empty ur 5 gallon home depot bucket full of piss next to ur bed.
Luckily they finally found something that helps called taltz. It's not great, but i can wipe my own butt again and don't even need that tool that holds the toilet paper for u cause i had no range of motion in my wrists before. I'm grateful i have the internet. i can't imagine how much worse it would've been without it.. But at the same time.. humans are pretty terrible to each other online, given the opportunity it seems. I'm no better it feels, even knowing this and trying to not contribute to the overwhelming amount of toxicity.
Anyways, thanks again for asking and the positive attitude. Hopefully they make an affordable ironman suit one day so i could do things again. or i mean i'd settle for robocop too.
A fight isn’t about taking your opponent down and submitting them because you’re physically stronger or even getting a flash KO, it’s supposed to be a back and forth argument, a conversation where you convince the other guy you’re better, we don’t really see that in MMA.

Elite MMA is top 3 of every division at best.
Who is elite at
125? Nobody
135? Merab, Umar, maybe Sean or Yan
145? Volk, Max
155? Mak, Arman, Ilia is questionable
170? Shavkat alone
185? Borz alone
205? Ank alone, maybe Poatan
265? Tom alone
Yeah that's one of things that was great about pride. The Japanese audiences valued the warrior Spirit over winning fights.Everyone is afraid to lose. Nobody leaves it out there. No more Chris Lebens or BJ Penn's. Everyone thinks they have to win, at any cost. Even the crowd booing you.
Coulda fooled me!watched this sport for 18 years,
I did read closely enough. It is the hundredth time I’m reading this and someone always points out how knees benefit wrestlers more, just like you did here. But there is always the assumption people hate wrestlers. Knees tdo are just a tool. Yes, it is a tool for wrestlers and makes wrestlers more dangerous. It is also a tool against wrestlers. Bottom line is, any way knees are used, it makes a fight more exciting. Whether you prefer wrestlers or standup fighters, you should like the additional of knees tdo either way.I don't think you read closely enough, I explain how wrestlers benifit and why it won't have the intended effects all the anti-wrestlers think it will.
MMA is like chess: it's methodical, technical, and can only be enjoyed by people with high IQs.
disagree tbh, I like MMA and I'm a fucking idiotI like how @Young Calf Kick ran with my joke in his topic
That sounds like some Hollywood stuff, or Power Slap. I doubt any warrior on a battlefield is interested in a back and forth.
MMA is the closest thing we have to real fights (on a professional level), if that doesn't entertain you there are plenty of other combat sports.
MMA in the states(UFC) has tried to equate the competitive business model as well as judging as boxing. Where a 1 in that loss column is nearly a death sentence in your career. MMA was supposed to be like a street fight against two people that have different styles. You're going to lose. This forum used to make fun of people incorrectly saying they "train UFC", but look what's happened. 12-6 elbows are allowed now. But look how they are still elbowing. The only person I've seen forcefully throwing those elbows was Jones vs Stipe. Elite fighters are terrified at losing. There's another thread that asked for knees to downed opponent(to the head). Soccer kicks. There is no justification to ban upkicks from someone on top of you trying to smash your face. It's watered down sport. Most of this forum loves GSP and Khabib. They fight their styles to avoid damage and I'll never consider them warriors.Yeah that's one of things that was great about pride. The Japanese audiences valued the warrior Spirit over winning fights.
That's why they loved guys like Frye and Takayama, or Sakuraba, even though they lost plenty of fights.
Wish we could become a little more like the Japanese in that regard.
