No Spoilers Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC

Decided since I missed nearly quest I’d follow a guide and get as many quests as possible. Lots of content I’d never seen before.

The Dryleaf attacks are so much fun. Completely different play style and a nice change up from hulk smashing everything in sight.

Every location found. All furnaces extinguished. Every boss, save for one; downed.

Time for Radahn….

Shame Midra was such a push over. Loved the creepiness of his manse though.
Similar for me. Nobody left to fight except Radahn so let the torture begin. I hate starting a new boss because you just get slaughtered over and over again until your muscle memory kicks in and you can consistently dodge a few attacks. Then it finally starts getting fun.

Never forget what they took from us.

Yeah, I use the stamina eliminating tear and just keep running/dodging for the first few times I attempt the bosses until I understand what they are doing lol. Helps me memorize their moves better if I’m not trying to attack.

Only dodging attacks in the beginning is definitely the way to go.

I still haven't staggered Radahn once. He's got some serious poise.

Radahn phase two is just nasty. A nasty, nasty boy….my Dodge timing is just all off, and can’t figure it out yet. It is a fun fight so far, but that timing…And they go on and on and on… Gotta take a break after about 15 times of lasting 30 seconds into the 2nd phase. Dude is a beast.

I have yet to either

Hey you're making progress so it's only a matter of time. I haven't gotten close to phase two yet.

He has this one mixup that's really fucking me up. Where he normally does a one handed swing, he turns it into a two handed instead that he holds and holds and holds. Fuck you Radahn

His mixups are ridiculous. It was making me hesitant to even attack because I didn’t know what was coming.

You enjoying the fight at all?

That's a wrap! Dodged as best as I could and cast comet when I had an opening. The arrows reach talisman is so good for a mage build. 35% range on spells is huge!

It has its moments like when you roll his big combo and get your counter in at the end. But then it gets ridiculous. I have no idea what's even going on in phase two.

And his music in phase two doesn't fit. First phase is good but the second is weird.

Phase two just isn’t enjoyable imo. His first phase is amazing, it would be one of my all time favorite fights if it stuck close to that. The dodging and counter rhythm is so satisfying.

Yeah exactly. You can get into some fun exchanges in phase one but then you can't even see what's going on in phase two with all the spells going off.

got my revenge against that ghostflame dragon that was griefing me early on over near belurat gaol.

then ran into another one somewhere in the cerulean coast. gonna have to take a rain check on that one for now.
