I've killed the lion dance boss but still getting 2 shot by random ghosts and knights. Not sure if NG+6 is any different from base game dlc that way. Seems normal.

I have 2500 health and those axe soldiers still chunk me.
 
Was able to get a couple of hours after work today. I hadn't played for months and had to get reacquainted with the controls. Came down the first hill of graves and come to the first enemy and get fucking wrecked because I forgot how to use healing potions and he had a grab attack that you lose target lock and he smashed me while I was fucking around with the camera. Great confidence booster right out the gate.

Took a few tries but finally goty bearings and back in the swing of things. Got a couple of the upgrades, beat a black knight that had had way to much health and could nearly one shot me, and beat the lion divine beast dude in what I assume is the first castle, but there was a couple of directions I could have gone.

Can't wait for tomorrow to get some more time in. Wife is out of town for the weekend so going to seriously neglect any responsibilities and veg out.

I think ng might be a little easier.

My ng+ guy is dual wielding Malenia's blade and that other long katana and getting bodied by everything.

My ng guy is using Great Stars and while I haven't beaten any bosses yet regular enemies at least seem easier. But I'm also getting posture breaks which the big katanas are useless for.

Yeah I keep pushing the left thumbs stick to run and end up ducking and getting whacked over the head. The two buttons to dual wield is also a struggle.
 
Rellana was surprisingly easy after dealing with Lion. So much to explore still just in the starting area.
 
Just got passed the Lion. His first phase wasnt so bad once i got the timing down on his attacks. His second phase were he changes attribute was aids though. The constant aoes after his attacks kept getting me and the elemental aura around him was obscuring the tells for his attack. Using a SL 125 magic character in regular NG. Think I'm gonna start using the Dark Moon Greatsword over the Moonveil.

She got me in her second phase the first time with a series of magic slashes but I just buffed to max, stayed in close and wailed and got her the second time. Didn’t have time to get any of that spinning shit off on me.

That prick is relentless. Felt like I couldn’t breathe. And on top of that has a good amount of health so it became an endurance fight for me too. Had him to a few hits several times and got stomped by the Frost AoE.

The worst part was when I would dodge myself into a corner then he would do that spinning breath attack.

Also my frame rate was chugging a lot during that fight during certain attacks

Even the way he goes partially invisible when you get close to him makes it hard to see what he's doing.

Haven’t noticed the huge drops some people are talking about. Mostly pop in for me.
 
Anybody found the haunted woods with the shitty brain sucker madness thingy from Bloodborne. That thing is ass. Luckily I played Sekiro lol
 
People are way ahead of me already. Think I'm going to stop coming into this thread until I finish the DLC. Already starting to see names of things I haven't seen yet.

Doesn’t sound like anyone is that far ahead. Starting region, just depends on which fork you took.
 
Beat the hippo and took a coffin to an area I wasn't ready for. Where tf are the weapons? I've found like 10 ashes of war but not a single weapon I can use

Point is they will be though. Between raising a 1 year old and full time job don’t have much time to play and everyone will pass me. Already seeing name drops like moon knight and hippo. The last thing I want is to traverse the mist and be like “oh I bet I know what this is”. I want to be fully surprised by everything so for that reason just going to stop visiting here until I’m done. I’ll just post a mini review when I’ve beaten it
