El Cucuy : Am i the real the lightweight champ?

I think Tony is crazy even fighting habib in his position. I know habib would not fight Tony if he was interim. In fact no one else would with a healthy champion that is ducking on sidelines. Tony must be really confident. Conor fans should abandon ship. Conor ducked habib when he was #1 with a baby excuse. Now ducking #1 Tony. What a joke.

I don't consider that the same thing...while bisping has lost most of the big fights in his career, conor has proved he's a winner. and conor beating eddie wasn't just some lucky punch, that he'd probably never land again if they fought another 10x...conor beat eddie for 2 rounds...just beating him up.

I do understand what you're saying...On the one hand, you have conor who has only fought 1x at LW. while guys like khabib and tony have a huge winning streak at that weight...so I get it...But conor did look impressive in beating eddie...and I tend to think eddie would give tony a much tougher fight than he did conor...same with khabib..

There really are no excuses left.

The guy has no injuries, and he's just been sitting on the belt for nearly 15 months without a single defense, nor even SIGNING for one. It's gotten beyond pathetic now.

Well, in fairness, we have never seen an MMA fighter make 100 million dollars in a boxing match and then be asked to return to MMA for 1/10th the pay check.

What Dana says is true "when you make that kind of money it changes you"; but what he really means is "We can't pay you what you want ('aka Diddy Bread Money').

The good news is that if the UFC has not stripped Conor that something must be going on behind scenes to warrant such. Tho it is fun to clown on Conor, I think we all agree that the dude delivers exciting fights 100% of the time, and every fight fan gets massively invested, whether it be hating Conor or liking him......plus, Conor cards are usually stacked to the fuckin' roof (189,194,202,205, etc). I think we can all agree that we atleast want to see him fight again, regardless if belts are on the line or not.

He does provide exciting fights. No one can dispute that. I believe his haters dont really care if he fights again because of his frequent absences nor do his huggers because he stays on top if he never loses. It's a weird ass situation. Great fighter. Exciting fighter. Just not a reliable one as far as activity goes.
 
He absolutely is. Why do you think Conor has stayed away and why Khabib pulled out three times? El Cucuy is a bad man and will prove it against Khabib finally.

Dude has been TKO'd one time many years ago, just like Nate. He's durable as hell. Nate has better boxing with limited power and no kicks. Conor used leg kicks to beat Diaz in the second fight. Edson is the deadliest kicker in the UFC. Conor would be in serious trouble, especially over 5 rounds. Agree to disagree. Conor gasses after 2, has no ground game, has shown a propensity to quit when things aren't going his way. The entire top 10 has a great chance against Conor over 5 rounds. Fucking OG brawler Alvarez and his fluke win over RDA really fucked up perception. Agree to disagree. Conor doesn't fight no point in debating this.

There you go Tony, this is exactly it. They don't want to hype you up.

Tony Ferguson is an incredibly dislikeable character. They don't want to hype him up because he's not only not the best fighter in the division, but he's really not marketable.

Khabib will smash him anyway so it's really a moot point.

It's not hard to rock Barboza with punches, his boxing defense is not good, and not good against Conor means awful.
