He will wait. He's the expert at sitting out and waiting for unearned opportunities.I hope Colby waits until October and then fucks him up. Waiting 7 months when you are healthy is not fair to the division.
Can't be any less unfair than Colby sitting out nearly a year and a half and sliding into a title shot with one single winI hope Colby waits until October and then fucks him up. Waiting 7 months when you are healthy is not fair to the division.
Thats the only way Colby will ever get a beltDana will strip Leon and give the belt to Colby
Yeah one to two defenses has been the norm for champs forever. People have this idea in their head that champs should defend 3x a year but when was the last time that was common?Literally all of them.
The only times a champion defended 3 times in a calendar year that I can recall is Kamaru Usman in 2021 and Max Holloway in 2019. Those are anomalies though, not the norm at all. I'm sure Izzy has done it now that I think on it as well.
Most champs defend once a year or at a push twice. Most non champions don't even fight 3 fights a year, and schedules usually slow down once they grab the belt.
Also nobody is obligated to fight 3 times a year in the UFC. It's quite the opposite. The UFC is legally obligated to OFFER 3 fights a year minimum to every fighter on the roster. The vast majority of fighters do not take 3 though.

Is this guy turning into a diva? First he doesn't want to fight Covington now he says July is too early ? TF? He fought in March that's like 4 months .
It's not how long you are champ Leon, it's how many times you defend the title.
Look at you now Leon , look at you now .
Is Colby the champ? Can't be any less unfair than Colby sitting out nearly a year and a half and sliding into a title shot with one single win
Wow , thats news to me.Fighters average one fight a year, he should be able to sit out until March 2024
When a champ is healthy and there is a willing opponent , there is rarely a situation where the champ refused to fight.Yeah one to two defenses has been the norm for champs forever. People have this idea in their head that champs should defend 3x a year but when was the last time that was common?
