I like Frankie, but I can't see him beating Aldo. Could be wrong, but I don't see it in his cards. He claims that Aldo hasn't evolved since their last meeting, but where has Edgar evolved? I see this fight going the same way as their last encounter.

Edgar won 2 out of 5 rounds with the 3rd being pretty much even. As close as that fight was, how can you not see Edgar winning? Edgar is sitting on his punches more and using his ground n pound and kicks more effectively.

Less than 1 head strike each minute... Edgars only hope is that Aldos chin is cracked enough for both Conor and Edgar to get the KO finish. Because Aldo is flat out better at everything than Frankie, except wrestling.

lol I just didn't feel like arguing some of your more trollish comments. You keep harping on about 1 strike a minute to the head for Frankie as if that is the only stat that mattered in the fight, ignoring the other strikes landed. For example Frankie tripled the strikes landed to the body and legs of Aldo than vice versa. Aldo has a shittier gas tank than Edgar, and Edgar mixed his strikes up more effectively over the course of the fight than Aldo did.

He'll be more effective still, in this fight.

He didnt do anything more effectively. Lost every single exchange in the fight, every exchange. All he did was dart around outside and land leg "kicks" aka small slapping kicks. Then he moved in for a body head hand combination and missed every time except like 3 or 4 times. Few jabs. Didnt do jack shit outside round 4. Lost EVERY EXCHANGE

I agree. My heart says Edgar, but my head says toss up. I know Frankie's chin will give out on him soon, but it's hard for me to envision him getting finished until it actually happens.

Well, I didn't get to see anything but the 5th round, as I was stuck at work, but a quick look at Fightmetric coupled with the 5th round tells me Aldo chewed Frankie up. Fightmetric has the stats looking razor close, but the damage on Frankie's face tells a slightly different tale. Well done to Aldo for making me choke on my words, wish he'd have just gone softly though, I wanted to see Edgar/Conor.
