It's clear the UFC doesn't want them as champs and did everything possible to avoid them from title shots. They're on great streaks though and the UFC will soon have no choice but give them a more than deserved title shot.

Edgar is on a 5 win streak at 145: Charles Oliveira, BJ Penn, Cub Swanson, Urijah Fabes, Chad Mendes. Fighting Aldo next and if he wins then Conor for the belt. These are all top names and legends.

Romero is 7-0 in the UFC: Clifford "Big Cat" Starks, Ronny Markes, Derek Brunson, Brad Tavares, Tim Kennedy, Lyoto Machida, Jacare. A murderous row of opponents. It's hard to say who'll be next for him but I guess it will be either Bisping, Vitor or the loser of Weidman/Rockhold. Definitely some top name in the stacked MW division. Then he'll fight Weidman or Rockhold for the title.

If anyone of these two wins the belt, has there ever been a fighter in the UFC who had a harder road to the title?

Holy shit. I didn't realize that Yoelo was on a seven fight win streak.

Edgar fought for the FW belt comming off losses and he was already a champ, he was the pet fighter for lorenzo dana and co before conor came along.

romero should've lost the decision against jacare, and he got popped for roids. edgar's run is far better, and i agree they don't want him anywhere near a title shot.

If Yoel wasn't busted for Roids he would be fighting for the tile Id say. Even with the Weidman rematch Id say he could have sat out and fought the winner if he wanted. His own fault.

Frankie isn't really ahead of Aldo to be honest, beating Aldo is a fair enough ask for him to get the title shot otherwise it would also be fair to give Aldo a rematch with Conor next. Aldo was the top p4p fighter for a long time and with rematches handed out left right and centre I wouldn't mind seeing him get one over Edgar.

People need to take their tinfoil hats off. Edgar got a rematch with Bendo after losing his title then walked in to a Fw title shot coming off 2 losses!

Romero beat the crap out of Jacare, he shot him down with a vicious well placed spinning backfist and then ground and pounded him. All that while he was sick and on flu. And he was proven innocent, USADA basically admitted fault by reducing his sentence, the first fighter who got leniency by this corrupted organization.

I wouldn't be surprised if the UFC used its connections with the USADA to orchestrate all this and give more legitimacy to Weidman Rockhold rematch.

He was busted for a diuretic, not roids

If bisping wants a title shot he better avoid romero like the plague.

Ah... just assumed Roids because of the old eye test! lol.

Even still if he wasn't busted on a failed drugs test Id say he would have been next in line, he did himself out of a title shot.

Edgar was gifted a title shot at feather weight- a division at that point he never fought in

Why do people conveniently leave out the fact that Edgar was an injury replacement in the Aldo fight? Really we should be glad he stepped up, other wise it would have been Aldo vs. Eric koch.

Max Holloway is 8 and 0 and soon to be 9 and 0 setting a new record.

They also leave out that the 2nd one of those 'losses' wasn't even a competitive fight and makes every credible 'biggest robberies in MMA history' list written

He's 11-3 in the UFC. He was schooled on the ground by ADCC Conor and beat mostly B-level and C-level fighters after that. He's a bum who was overrated by Conor fans here

Johnny Hendricks road to title was legit as they come. Kos, Pierce, Kampmann, Fitch, Condit. Hendricks set a new standard of insanity.

You are fucking retarded. 6 out of 8 finishes, and 2 of the names on your list. Oliveira and Swanson. Stephens was also top ten ranked.

You're on a run for GOAT shitposter, TS.
