This is my most anticipated upcoming fight right now. Poirier is streaking and has finished former UFC champ Pettis and former WSOF champ Gaethje in his last two. Alvarez rebounded and reminded everyone how good he is when he handed Gaeithje his first loss last December. The first fight was awesome until it ended due to an illegal knee.
I honestly have no clue who to lean towards. Poirier is more technically skilled while Alvarez has certain intangibles that make him super dangerous. I'm thinking Poirier but with little confidence. Who you got?

I'm leaning towards the diamond as well but its a close fight. I have a feeling both guys are going to throw caution to the wind and it's going to be one of the fights of the year

This fight is in my home town too! Last time they came here it was a huge disappointment, UFC 149 was one of the worst cards in promotional history.

Hope Poirier wins though Alvarez will be looking to cheat as much as possible, again.

I lean towards Dustin. I think, before he got caught, he was showing very good defense and was handling Eddie at range.

With that said, no one ia better at getting punched in the face than Alvarez. When he is getting tagged on the back foot, he is known to turn things around with one shot.

Poirer has all the talent but I think Eddie has more grit and won’t quit. It’ll be another burner and Dustin goes down when he’s given enough reason too

Gotta back The Diamond here. Eddie might mad dog him but I think Dustin outworks him.

This is a pretty stacked card for a Fox show - it's almost as if UFC 228 was supposed to be on Fox, and this card was supposed to be a PPV.

Aldo/Stephens should be good as well.

Seriously cannot wait for this fight, I'm thrilled we get to see it.

I think Eddie gets stung again and lets the dog out. Both guys are fairly evenly matched but Eddie can recover from bad hits and Poirer can't. That alone should give him the edge here.

Eddie drowns him. If the first fight was 5 rounds, Eddie would've finished him without the illegal knee because Dustin was wilting. You could just tell by his demeanor.

Always rooting for Eddie, but hoping Dustin has a good showing and doesn't get set back to far.

That's pretty unfair, the only person who made Dustin quit easily was McGregor. All his other losses I can think of were fucking wars. Also he's had some recent wars where he took a RDICULOUS amount of punishment to the leg but coming forward and won...

To be fair I didn’t say easily, you did.

Dustin is a warrior, he’s just fighting EA

Michael Johnson just straight up slept him without breaking a sweat.

Poirer is very skilled and most definitely isn't a quitter, just in context of comparison to Eddie, he likely can't take the same amount of punishment and recover.

Calgary is rated one of the top cities in the world to live in with a booming economy, one of the best health care region's in North America, and tons of space per capita. We also have the Rocky mountains 1 hour drive away.

What city do you live in?

more excited for aldo in a 3 rounder vs stephens!

for this fight tho im pulling for poirer. eddie was champ and got embarassed vs conor. poirer is a fresh face to the title scene. if ufc cant do khabib vs tony or conor for MSG, it will def be poirer. and im ok with that

Great faitche.
I'm leaning towards Dustin. I like his skills better

BUT

Eddie is a junkyard dog who fights to the death.

Will be violent.

He didn’t have a chance to quote against Mcgregor. Once he clipped him he was on Queer street.

Michael Johnson smoked him the hardest though.
