EA Sports UFC 2 announced

The problem is that everyone feels the same to use. No one has any signature moves or tendencies. Same old borin shit no matter who u pick. I can't stress how important it is to have the feel of a fighter. I was playing Vitor and it felt like I was playing a slow HW.

true dat, biggest flaw of every mma game... developers just aren't willing to put the work in

Its pretty good. But the ground game is trash in it.

Didn't thq go bankrupt?

Anyways I remember getting high as fuck and playing Undisputed 3 with my friends. Good times.

Side note: I have ufc tapout 2 for xbox original i got for a dollar at a cash converters has anyone played it? I never bothered yet.

Used to play tapout 2 all the time. Randleman has sick leg kicks for some reason lol. I would pull an E. Honda and just kick the fuck out of everyone's legs with Randlman. Good times.

All I can say is Undisputed 3 was THE BEST fighting game of all time. I loved that game so much, this game is a complete joke. THQ left them the perfect fighting template, the only way to go was up, and they completely failed miserably. Such a shame. Even more a shame EA didnt absorb the team from THQ to continue their success.

Does anyone remember the Pride game for ps2? That's def been my favorite mma game ever

will buy this one as I do every one, just hope its much better all around than last one.

I liked EA UFC but just felt like it was a very small game. It was pretty much strictly made for online play. The career mode was pretty bare and outside of that there was pretty much nothing.

I put a lot more hours into UFC 3 Online and off. The tournament mode was fun as hell, Event mode was cool (loved making PPV's), and of course Pride mode was the shit. If they can add more variety to this sequel and make it a tad more realistic I think it could be a very fun game.

Yes, that game was the shit.

UFC on Dreamcast was a lot of fun as well.

I'm somewhat optimistic. I'd like to hope that now that they've laid the groundwork with the first game, they can work on all of the stuff necessary to make an actually decent MMA game.

Man, I totally didn't think about the fact that sponsorship/customization will be completely eliminated. I enjoyed hustling to get Muscle Pharm stuff back in Unleashed 3.

The first EA UFC was way, way too arcadey. They need to get back to simulation. One of the reasons why the old, original UFC Undisputed demo did so well was because if you got hit with a hard, clean shot you could get KO'd in an instant. In EA UFC, people spam flying spinning head kicks, or flying knees that land cleanly constantly with little to no results. There's also something be said about how ludicrous it is to see some fighters throwing insane kicks that are nowhere near that type of fighter. The ground game is also really poor.

It's probably going to be really hard, if not impossible to ever do the ground game well enough, but the stand-up has no real excuses. The game took a step back from Undisputed 3, unfortunately, which had pretty good stand-up.

Undisputed 3 is the GOAT. The movement on EA was so awkward

EA UFC had much less robotic, rock'em sock'em robots striking. The stand up game is much more fluid, but the ground game is horrific. There are a lot of good things to take from both games and a smart team will do so.

Each new mma game since UFC undisputed 2009 sold very poorly. 2010, ea sports mma, undistributed 3 and ea sports last UFC game were all bombs. More proof that mma is dying

I personally had a lot of fun with EA Sports UFC. Then again, I started playing back in November of last year after all the updates were made. Seems like 80% of the people posting here only played when it just released.

I was very disappointed with EA UFC. Terrible ground game controls, everyone had crazy spinning moves they have never done in their careers, and the controls were all over the place. Not to mention the career mode was garbage.

Out of all the MMA games I've played Undisputed 3 is the best by far. By the third game THQ perfected and upgraded their control scheme, every fighter had unique moves that made them feel like the real thing. The career mode was fun, although the training exercises got kind of repetitive. Event mode was amazing. Pride mode as well.

Hopefully EA will be able to build a more solid game on their second try. Or third if you want to count EA MMA.

Yeah, I played it for a bit and I thought it was ok. It had some short, but decent highlights for each fighter too.

I was on a 25 fight win streak (30th ufc fight overall) when I got a title shot and I hade to retire on a 6 fight championship run, with my record being 34-4 and I was 32-1 in my last 33. I didn't fight anyone I knew till my record was 24-3. I hated it and the game play was shit as well. no fighter felt different, front kicks were thrown easier and more frequently then jabs, the ground game was atrocious and a knock out never looked smooth or cool. the submission game was so much better though, I'll give it to them there, you no longer need to lose a layer of skin to get out a sub attempt.

Can't wait to see all the Reebok shit in the game. I might puke.
