EA Sports UFC 2 announced

99% of the complaints are from people who gave up on the game because it wasn't perfect at launch and/or didn't take the time to fucking learn how to play. The game is fine, the mechanics are fine, half of what people are saying occurs is just plain inaccurate.

The biggest 'gripe' I can see is that some fighters have moves that they haven't used in real life. It is what it is though. Just because a dude never threw a high kick doesn't mean he can't, FOH.

Not true at all. I am in the highest division online with over 200+ fights and have completed the career mode. It is not like I didn't give the game a chance. I played it a lot because it was the only UFC game on the new consoles. However, the game is garbage. The mechanics are not fine. You can LITERALLY win every fight in career mode by spamming the turning side kick to the body over and over again. If you need a video demonstration of this crap, i can turn the game on and twitch it so you can see. EA UFC is trash. How many jumping knees or spinning heel kicks does it take to a rock a person in this game? It's ludicrous. I hope they somehow improve this one but I don't have my hopes up.

First game was great, i'm surprised how much hate it received. Best MMA game so far in my opinion. Hopefully the second title builds on that.

You might be the only one who thinks this way

Those saying UFC 3 was better than EA UFC have probably forgot how F'in horrible UFC 3 actually was. It's amazing how THQ even dared to release that shit.

The first UFC game seemed really clunky and awkward. The Fight Night games were so much better. If the second one is a lot better I might buy it later down the track when it is on sale.

Unidisputed 3 perfected the gameplay who knows how much better it could have got if Dana didnt jump ship to shitty EA.

Didn't thq go bankrupt?

Anyways I remember getting high as fuck and playing Undisputed 3 with my friends. Good times.

Side note: I have ufc tapout 2 for xbox original i got for a dollar at a cash converters has anyone played it? I never bothered yet.

I'm STILL playing Undisputed 3. It's that good.
Do you play with the Open-Weight Glitch? That makes for some ridiculous match-ups Jones vs Cain, MM vs Stephan Struve.I've got Faber running through the Heavyweights

It was horrible, both EA MMA and Undisputed 3 were far superior.

You could literally roll into mount from full guard with a flick of the analogue stick.

I've been playing Undisputed 3 for a long time and grabbed EA MMA cheap a few months ago.

So hard to get used to after playing U3 for so long.

I like THQs games but I also enjoyed EA UFC. One thing that was nice about EA UFC was all the game updates and free DLC fighters. A ton of free aftermarket support that I hope continues with EA 2.

EA UFC was trash when it was first released but all of the eventual updates made it a pretty decent game. It was too late though.

If they can fix most of the mechanics of the 1st EA UFC along with making the career mode 100x better, it should be pretty good.

Yeah the career mode was terrible. I fought Forest Griffin 6 times.

grabbed the first game only recently out of a 15 euro bin. Only play it with one of my mates, occasionally. We have a blast with the game.

I would never pay full price for a sports sim, what it basically is. I'll wait until it hits the discount rack again.

Oh crap crap crap! EA should make another fight night game, which was the best combat game ever made, this UFC game sucked really hard, I've bought this game and sold it on ebay 3 days after playing this piece of garbage. What a shame.

BTW, does anyone here plays Fight Night Champion online?????
I do on XBOX 360

Yeah the career mode was terrible. I fought Forest Griffin 6 times.

And then fighting random CPU created fighters about 8 times to finish off your career. Don't know what the fuck they were thinking with that one.

had the first one on ps3, might pick up the new one on PS4.. I just got COD and with fallout out and battlefront coming out I am not sure if I would ever get time to play it.

Did you play the game when it was first released or a few months after?

This. Was terrible when it first came out, updates made it wayyy better, not to mention actually never charging for DLC characters, must be the first game to ever do that lol. It's pretty much the only game I play consistently. The online is flawless. UFC Undisputed 3 was unplayable online.

That shit is SO BAD, you can rock a player and when you engage them on the ground you get in full mount. Once the rocked person recovers they calmly PUSH you out of mount and completely out of guard

Shit's hilarious

It's about the easiest thing to block

l2p.

I'm very excited about the second edition!

It was awful and great to me at the same time. I hate that no matter what strike your opponent throws he can always sprawl on your takedowns. These fuckers will do some spinnin shit and you'll go for the double leg and he sprawls every time. The parrying is kind of over done too the cp will parry any strike you throw even while they're rocked as fuck. Career mode was horrendous, no selection of opponents and generally you fight the same 5 guys your entire career. Every tko is the exact same you rock them they fall down you automatically hop into their mount and hit them one or two times and it's done. The roster also was extremely small it was like an average of 9 fighters per weight class. My math is probably off on that one. They also made everyone high flying risk takin type of dudes. You got guys throwin spinnin shit and they'd be a wrestle boxer. Rampage for example has flying knees and front kicks to the face even though he's never used them. I'm kind of a nerd at the game but it's still extremely repetitive and frustrating. Still gonna buy the new one

Yeah those updates really helped improve most of the weird buggyness and shit. My major complaint was how fucking horrid the career mode was. Maybe throw in an event mode next time as well.

I could never fuck with UFC Undisputed 3 online. Hated it with a passion.

I run a fight league for EA UFC 1 and will of course be continuing for EA UFC 2. We are still actually doing events for EA UFC 1 so if you still play the game join up. If not hopefully you come check us out when EA UFC 2 drops. Peace

Oh yeah, that demo was garbage. Don't blame you for hating on it now.

Sounds tempting to pick it up on the cheap.

Such a garbage game.

I wish I was a big enough MMA fanboy to still hype it up like some in this thread, but it's just too shitty for even me to defend.

Only hope is that Fight Night makes it on the backwards compatibility list

Also a question for people who played the game, is there a Dana white mode?

Kinda like a mode where I make cards and fights, and fighters pull out and get injured and you have to make as many ppv buys as you can? Basically a matchmaking mode where you can market fighters/sell tickets?

like gm mode in 2k basketball?

Did they improve EA MMA from the demo? It was practically unplayable originally... 3 punches in quick succession, even blocked would at bare minimum rock you, half the time knock you out...

List of things they could add/change/bring back:
-The ability for Bruce Buffer and the commentators to say the fighter's full name instead of just nickname.
Fight in another organization, real or fake, before entering TUF/UFC. We're not all Amir Sadollah.
-PRIDE/Tournament mode.
-In career mode, the ability to respect or disrespect other fighters.
-The ability to train at whatever camp you choose.
-Event mode.
-Only allow the guard-to-mount sweeps to be performed by high-level BJJ players and not Rumble.
-Classic fights mode.
-The ability to be cut from the UFC on a losing streak in career mode instead of just fighting until you've received enough damage in your career.
-I feel like a first-person mode would be interesting to play around with.

Separately, a new Fight Night game.

First game was decent, I had fun with it, but many improvements can be made. Career mode needs a complete overhaul, very basic. Fighters need to have their own styles to match real life styles, some fighters threw crazy shit that they never do and probably aren't able to do in real life.

Pride mode please, WEC and strikeforce would be cool too.
