EA Sports UFC 2 announced

need to improve the career mode. otherwise I enjoyed playing online just to pass the time, wouldn't even mind if they just updated the rooster.
 
Still have never been able to get a sub.

The clips of UFC fighters talking to you was pretty corny in career mode.

And why the hell can't we do open weight fights like the old days....I want Mighty Mouse vs Overeem. Damn it
 
Oh crap crap crap! EA should make another fight night game, which was the best combat game ever made, this UFC game sucked really hard, I've bought this game and sold it on ebay 3 days after playing this piece of garbage. What a shame.

BTW, does anyone here plays Fight Night Champion online?????

Agrees, despite it's being nowhere near what a real MMA fight feels, it was way better than this piece of garbage EA UFC is.
 
The game will be ok, but not great, and everyone will hate on it because the UFC is dumb and everyone hates everything they do.

Seriously? That game was absolute shit as well. No UFC game yet has been enjoyable.

UFC 3 could have been a fun game but the loading screens, the robotic movements, the repeating gameplay just made it utter shit.

EA UFC at least was working like you wanted to.
 
It was awful and great to me at the same time. I hate that no matter what strike your opponent throws he can always sprawl on your takedowns. These fuckers will do some spinnin shit and you'll go for the double leg and he sprawls every time. The parrying is kind of over done too the cp will parry any strike you throw even while they're rocked as fuck. Career mode was horrendous, no selection of opponents and generally you fight the same 5 guys your entire career. Every tko is the exact same you rock them they fall down you automatically hop into their mount and hit them one or two times and it's done. The roster also was extremely small it was like an average of 9 fighters per weight class. My math is probably off on that one. They also made everyone high flying risk takin type of dudes. You got guys throwin spinnin shit and they'd be a wrestle boxer. Rampage for example has flying knees and front kicks to the face even though he's never used them. I'm kind of a nerd at the game but it's still extremely repetitive and frustrating. Still gonna buy the new one

I enjoyed EA UFC

Biggest problems

spamming straight punches online so you can't do anything against it (really only became an issue in black belt league or higher and especially against the cage haha)

the ground game was a lot easier to work with in this game, I had no issues subbing people but once you hit the upper echelon of the game, I could only be defensive.

I think most of the complaints just come from people who didn't play enough or learn the mechanics well enough.

Career mode, am I ever going to fight top names when I'm the champ? Always ended up fighting pre made characters that had no business being there. For instance, became LHW champ, and not once did I fight JBJ/Gus

Don't force me to retire, I rather degenerative stats in career mode.

I had a blast online and did 5 career modes.
 
Who cares, game is trash, every UFC game is. Even Square Enix knows how to make a fighting game better than EA or THQ.

This is Sherdog. After 8 years here, most posters are either butthurt, angry or just impossible to deal with.

Some quality posters do exist here but for the most part, this place is just filled with angry people hating on everything and anything, so even if the game was the best ever, 90% of Sherdog would hate it.

I loved Tobal as much as the next guy, but that's a real fighting game. MMA games are sports games.

I know, that's why it doesn't work. They need more fighting and less sports.
 
I just hope they add more depth and make the online experience balanced and competitive.

New game modes include live events, custom event, ultimate team and knockout mode.
