Don't believe we have seen a mma fighter in the ufc with a dutch kickboxing or even American kickboxing background, win a ufc belt. Whereas Pettis, Henderson and silva. all from taekwondo backgrounds have sen further success. obviously muay thai and boxing key staples for mma now. But is their deficiency is kickboxing where by simply knowing a bit of muaythai and boxing you're a better overall fighter than being fluent in dutch kickboxing.

Only had a short UFC stint but James McSweeney.

His ruthless dutch style lead to a high level kickboxing career but left him to open/vunerable in MMA

Volkan trained a lot in Holland before he trained with Hooft. Overeem introduced him to MMA.
