Dont forget what happens to a fighter after a major surgery .. they decline !!

after his bout with Hooker which was what ? #7 or #8 ranked lw ..didnt look all that great coming off a layoff and major surgery

in fact Dan looked great against what we called the #1 contender..

dont buy the hype ... Dustin on his way out .. the new re-up on contract is his final contract being a gate keeper ..

he was gonna do an exhibition with mc gregor for charity prior to UFC making this official ..

and in fact was pre-awarded 500k for this mcgregor fight

you can still cash in on easy money ..

the return isnt the best but its an "easy"grab ..


in fact if you literally bet you house say 100,000 (low sherdog average)

you could scoop an easy 35,000


all so UFC can try and hype job conor fights and build him as the pre Khabib mega star he once was


sherdog level 10k bet gets you 3500 of the most easy grabbable cash to date
 
This is a bit of stretch. Plenty of fighters have had surgeries and come back better than ever. Conor himself had major ACL surgery, before his rise to the top.

Dustin is only 31 years old and his hip surgery was over a year ago, I'd say he's likely fully recovered now. He looked pretty good against Hooker IMO, he came out a little slow and lost the first two rounds (they were close), and then took over the fight and clearly won the next 3. That's his path to victory in this fight too- Surviving the first two rounds and taking the fight over after that. Not saying it will happen for sure... but he certainly has a path.

Possibly. I think the greater reason is Dustin wants to "prove" he is a better striker than Conor. He doesn't have the balls, so to speak, to grapple Conor Khabib-style to wear him out.
