Dustin's just trying to "sound tough" — he gives himself away by "being taken aback" when dude asked him if he is ready to kill someone.

Obviously, no one wants to see anyone get killed the ring, but if Dustin' shtick was for real, he would've responded instantly, rather than hesitatingly.
