Media Dustin Poirier says Khabib held up division and cost him title. Was Khabib worried about Conor being champion?

What type of nonsense is this? Khabib retired the night he fought Justin. Dana was trying his hardest to get him not to retire. Very weird take that this was somehow Khabib's fault.

Why do you seem to think Dana has any ability to stop someone from retiring?

Like you do realize that the only way that Khabib didn't retire is if... Khabib doesn't retire.

Khabib retired in March 2021, not October 2020.

Nah, Jones said after the Stipe fight that he decided not to retire and would fight again.
Yeah but he wanted Alex, who do we trust?
Honestly, who is more trustworthy out of Dana and Jon? Haha

He just had to stop making it about money only, after his dad's death the only thing that could have brought Khabib back was achieving the legacy his father wanted.

And he wanted him to fight GSP.

Offer him GSP for a super fight at catch-weight and have it for a fake belt like the BMF.

No division blocked, and you have a massive super fight that would have made massive numbers.

But Dana hates GSP and thinks money can solved everything. Hence why we also didn't get Fedor in the UFC.

Yeah, I remember seeing a clip of Dana saying something about the"PaY Per View BuyZ", pretty sure Khabib didnt even say anything in response.

I don’t know how to put this anymore simply for you. After he fought Gaethje he said he was retiring, he hasn’t fought since and made no indication that he would fight again. What more do you need? All this “well actually…” you’re trying to come up with is irrelevant.
Don’t engage with them bro. They aren’t interested in a real discussion, we all know what their agenda is lol. Just move on.

Even though he did fail to win the title vs Khabib directly and vs Charles … he has a point.

IMO since he was interim champ, that should still count for something though.

Who do we trust? Jon was asked about Tom in the octagon after Stipe and said he wasn't going to retire and would give the people "what they want". Dana said Tom was next. Sounds like both parties are saying the same thing.

All reporting indicates Jon asked for a big number, and the UFC agreed, then Jon changed his mind. This fits the public statements by both parties. So who do we trust when they were both saying the same thing, and then one of them started saying something else? Probably the person who didn't change their story. Jon did retire after saying he wasn't going to. So at least in that verifiable fact, Jones was the deceiver.
