Yeah I am not saying that Dustin/Justin as people or fighters are similar to Strickland/Colby ... just that to Dana it doesn't make all that big of a difference, because he rightly recognizes that the fanbase from the shithole states are fucking retarded and they can all serve a similar function. They all receive varying degrees of preferential treatment, Dustin and Justin are just better fighters.

Dustin/Justin got more of the 'rank squatting' allowance, although eventually after years they each finally fought someone that wasnt each other or a rematch/title shot sort of situation. Dana usually completely shits on people waiting out fights or refusing to fight outside of a title situation, but for these two in particular he never said a word. How long did we have to endure the trifecta of Poirier/Gaethje/Chandler constantly fighting each other or for the title despite not beating anyone else other than each other or losing for the title?

Hard disagree with your Strickland assessment too, he's been getting tons of Dana White privilege the more he yaps about bullshit. He's beat Jack fucking Hermansson and every fight is a fucking snooze. He's been getting the Colby treatment essentially and I won't be surprised if they start feeding him washed 'names' or career lightweights/welterweights next to give him some 'big' wins despite lacking in the talent department. Now talking about not being willing to take a fight against Costa because he's not making half a mil or whatever...it's fucking ridiculous.

Like I said, I can see where you're coming from and think there's some truth to it, so I'm not trying to altogether dismiss what you're saying or pretend you're pulling stuff out of thin air, but I just think where you're coming from requires more stretching and a touch of what seems like some personal cynicism, which if true, I'm not judging; I've got some of that too. If you have solid examples then I'm of course open, but the stuff I said in the previous reply hasn't been shut down yet. In general, I'm not a fan of the elitist hipster ethos of sweepingly trashing 'shithole states' where everyone is viewed as mouth-breathing retards, but I know what you're talking about enough to not care about sticking on that point lol. I'd just say that anyone who enjoys fights should like watching Gaethje and Dustin, so even if it were the case that literally every one of the retards you mention loved Dustin and Justin, maybe just maybe a lot of those people tune in thinking 'hell yeah, these guys put on a show' instead of 'hey look, white dudes' then drooling on the carpet of their double-wide.

The example of him not being handed the ddp rematch is the opposite of the Colby treatment cus Colby got the Usman rematch after beating the ghost of Tyron, and Jorge got two fights vs Usman based entirely on his star power. I hate that I'm in the position of defending Strickland lmfaoo, but I just want it to make more sense. I don't really like the guy either, but we still gotta try to call balls and strikes.

Like the idea that a mw would be fed career lightweights, idk how that's even possible. Or the idea that he's not a surprisingly skilled fighter despite shutting Izzy down for 25mins. He's for sure not very exciting and there's been a contingent of turds gargling his balls cus of his rants that have given him a platform, but he's very clearly good enough fight top guys. And yeah hermansson was one of the many guys he beat in not exciting fashion lol, along with beating or having really close fights w world class guys. Again, don't like him, don't find his fights fun, but he's not some scrub. And before falling into the title shot, he was the Apex guy like Chris Curtis or Vettori, not particularly esteemed.

I wanna get more into the Poirier/Gaethje stuff cus it's interesting and you brought up some good stuff, but I feel dumb writing walls of text, so I'll wrap lol

The fact that Strickland, with his comically limited ability, has continuously gotten bigger fights and bigger placements on the cards is the proof. He was, and should be, a random middling prelim guy like he was for his entire career until he started let's go brandon chants and ranting about gays and women. Not getting an immediate rematch against Dricus probably had more to do with the UFC hoping to put together a big fight in Africa or something. He doesn't get the same exact treatment as Colby, because he isn't as big of a gimmick clown as Colby, he's just in the same vein.

He got lucky AF againsr that #12 ranked 'God of War' french guy, who it looked like Dustin was going to get grinded out until he's too exhausted to defend himsel.
