They have no chance in hell of winning this. By the way they casually say "parody law" as a reason they are allowed to do this shows that they have no clue what they are talking about and did not even do a basic Google search for the federal copyright/trademark laws or any respective judicial opinions or articles or anything...which are very easy to find.
I wrote a paper in law school about this exact topic and you don't have to be a legal scholar to know this ain't gonna fly.

I wonder if they just expect to make some profit quickly or something? It said they hired people off craigs list. So maybe pay the employees under the table to avoid insurance and taxes, cash in on the huge exposure, move the money somehow and then just declare bankruptcy as soon as the first legal action shows up.

Im just trying to figure out how anyone could think this possibly would work.

Although if it did somehow Id be looking forward to going to the Dumb Jack in the Boxes and Dumb Carls Jr that would pop up everywhere.

During my brief visit to the states I went to Starbuck quite a bit and thought it was great.

The staff were very friendly and often gave my friend and I free food because they knew we were struggling to find work for the summer.

Having free wifi was great as we could skype and email home.

I don't get why I always here people bitching about it.

that being said, their espresso is not that bad.
