Surely throughout history there must have been some genuine drunken karate masters.

Drunk-Fu I think is a legitimate fighting style that seeks to mimic the grace and power of a genuine drunken warrior, so, I’m sure the real thing probably helps some people if they train on it. Now I’m not saying get black out drunk, you just gotta hit that sweet spot.

If Russia ever decided to move on creating drunken MMA I’m sure the sport would quickly produce more legends and legendary moments than our current brand of sober/semi-sober (Diaz) MMA.

Conor McGregor would have a path back to the top, etc.

The only issue I can see is that some people might try to cheat by being sober, however fights between drunks and sobers are pretty common irl anyway so it might still be fun to watch. People often say MMA is meant to mimic real fights, well, adding booze just ups the realism. DMMA is the future. It would be the present, it’s just the man and his rules keep the people down

Anybody ever know any drunken masters, who were better at whatever they did while drunk? Tell us their stories

I am a lot more charming and a better dancer when I'm drunk

That's absolutely ridiculous, hilarious... and I am going to LOVE watching every single second of it <lol>
I subscribe to Paramount+ so I won't have to pay for it. I'm hoping Conor leads out the alligators as the warm up.

Depending on the price, I may actually start paying for it, for the first time in years. I used to pay for every single pay per view... it just became ludicrously expensive.

I can't remember the last PPV I paid for, I know none of the fighters anymore. Moving it to Paramount will get me back into it hopefully.

Frank Dux went from Drunken Master to just a drunk...

Both Jackie Chan movies were excellent, but the older one is my favorite.

It's a good time to get back into it.

I was like you. I lost interest after the ESPN+ debacle.

But I kept hearing about this Poatan guy and so I started watching again just for his fights and it's been worth it. He was already old when he joined the UFC so he's only got maybe a year or two left, so you should catch up on his fights now so you can enjoy his final years.

I thought this was a new format for the golf major - everyone needs to do a shot of bourbon after every hole - till the bottle is empty after 18. ( 18 shots in a 1/5 ). Technically that format should be reserved for the "Open Chsmpionahip" as thats usually in Scotland and taking shots after every hole is actually called Scotch golf ........ but would be fun at Augusta too might have to replace whiskey with Shine though.

I would watch that- John Daly would of won masters every year in that format - a 1/5 of booze ia like his breakfast .

Leaving dissapointed

I mean there's nothing better I have to do with Saturday nights, I unintentionally bought a house with a bar and we spend most weekends watching sports there so it'll be cool to get free fights and hopefully get back into it again.
