Back when i started my craft beer journey, i was building up a good tolerance. But as i narrowed down favorites, i just stick with those. And no way i can drink 5 solid brews in one sitting without falling over now. If i drink more than 3 in one sitting, i gotta space them out.

12 ,6.5% is too much I drank a 10 pack of lagunitas once at 6.0 % and felt like crap a six pack is enough maybe 8 max.

alcohol sucks ass. and none of my friends enjoy drinking, at all. Literally couldnt drag them to a bar or strip club if my life depended on it. the few that do are on probation for DUIs. Sigh.

I realized the average person is EXTREMELY uncomfortable in their own skin.

If you go to a bar, you'll see a bunch of guys standing around with drinks in their hands, waiting for the liquid courage to kick in. People use alcohol as a social crutch; it's like a fear of being themselves. We live in a society where everyone is hyper-self-critical of appearing awkward.

Also, more people are "self- medicating" than we are aware of. People have a miserable work week and getting wasted is all they really have to look forward to on the weekend. Of course they can hide this under the guise of "social drinking" and games.

was it xanax withdrawal, or was it just a matter of his liver and kidneys being absolutely fucked from xanax and primarily codeine abuse? I'm pretty sure its the later, but could be wrong.

It's true that being a heavy drinker is brutal on the body. Not heroine level brutality but still very severe for being legal. For my money half a hydro is just enough buzz to relax with no after effects. Unfortunately it's been many years since I've had any. Pot just doesn't do it for me, and don't fuck with hard drugs, so it's sobriety for me.
 
Alcohol is awesome for breaking down social barriers, getting to know new workmates, as an aid to dating. I can totally see why so many people love drinking. It's a fun culture imo but yes it is devastating to the body for most people and it's best done in moderation (easier said than done)

probably both but xanax withdrawl is lethal by itself ,codeine withdrawl can also shutdown his organs.

It is much more satisfying mentally to do those things sober but ya alcohol definitely makes it a lot easier

An ex roommate of mine was addicted to xanax, he had to go to a sobering home for like 3 months, his ex gf was addicted to codeine, that caused the relationship to end, among other things.
 
Yeah I've messed around with pot, coke, mdma, opiates, all kinds of psychedelics but alcohol took my soul man. Those and benzo

I dunno if I can film myself drinking that much if only because that's like 6 hours of filming.

I could take a picture of every single beer before an after but I'm also certain people would call "bullshit" and accuse me of dumping beers.
 
I grew up in NJ with an avid nightlife culture. Nothing wrong with drinking some beers with friends to unwind after a hard week of work.

I'm a family man now, and moved far away, so rarely drink, but whenever I visit, we still hit up the bars.

Millenials don't drink at the bar half as much as previous generations and the bar is not quite the meet market as it used to be

Apparently Americans are drinking more than ever. So you'd be wrong.

And I suppose it depends on your social circle or visibility but as an Uber driver, I see Millenials constantly trashed. Any day of the week.
 
Can't say much about other countries but the drinking culture here in UK is a sorry state of affairs. Kids start getting smashed on carry outs as young as 12 and it only gets worse from there on in. Towns and city centres all over the country are turned into war zones on the weekends with young men and women whose goal is to get as plastered as humanly possible and subsequently behaving like a pack of fucking savages.

Government should be promoting dmt culture imo
