Drinking Culture sucks...

I binge drink every weekend, mostly Friday and Saturday, sometimes just one of those days. Never on Sundays.. I work hard and like to blow off steam on the weekends with friends and family. I don’t sit home and drink, it’s event drinking. BBQs, concerts, games etc.
It’s October so we have Halloween parties, Beer Gardens for Octoberfest, and a Jets game. None of that is fun without some pops. Now if that isn’t for you, fine.
As for the new idea that smoking weed every day has no ill effects, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

Drinking is probably one of the oldest pastimes ...

Yep the cost/benefit ratio goes way south as you age. I'm to the point where I sometimes rationalize the cost/benefit of 4 hours of drinking vs a full day of recovery.

Nah. Having 8-10 pints while bullshitting with friends is one of life's great pleasures.

I drank that beer in my 1600 square foot house with a walkout basement, on five acres of land with all services, located 5 minutes outside of civilization. Nothing poor about me, son.

it was cool while it lasted, but ya. I'm glad i'm not in that mode anymore. Once you get to the pt 'puking and rallying' is like commonplace, it's perhaps time to take a step back haha

I should add that I don't really drink and after working on the doors for 20yrs I can't really be bothered with all of it.

yeah, i don't think i could ever do sober october.

I already had 4 beers saturday during the khabib/mctapper bout. And my birthday is next week, i'll probably hit up a brewery too.

i have been drinking less though. Probably about 3 beers a month. Like you, i gotta have a Dales every once in a while, specially after mowing the lawn.

The weather is getting cooler though, so it's time for the stouts. porters and barleywines.

My "every once in a while" was a 12 pack a night, haha.

But I'm doing pretty okay with pseudo-sobriety. I've only drank twice in the last 9 days, and that's pretty good, all things considered.

i gotta say, that's pretty fucking impressive sir. A 12 pack of dale's is way too much beer. 6.5%x12 is 78% worth of alcohol, that's quite a bit for one night.

Back when i started my craft beer journey, i was building up a good tolerance. But as i narrowed down favorites, i just stick with those. And no way i can drink 5 solid brews in one sitting without falling over now. If i drink more than 3 in one sitting, i gotta space them out.
