Movies Dragonlord's Fantasy Casting for IT: CHAPTER TWO

I take back what I said about Amy Adams in the other thread. Young Bev is the spitting image of her. So much so that I can't really imagine anyone else doing it.

I like most of your other choices, but going to disagree with Toby Maguire and Shemar Moore. Bill is handsome, but bald as an adult in the book. Mike tops out at like 5'8" in the book and has aged horribly due to living in Derry.

I'd vote for Chiwetel Ejiofor for Mike and Jake Gylenhaal for Bill.

Zachary Braff as Richie would be amazing.

The long-awaited reunion of Tobey Maguire and Topher Grace we've all been clamoring for.

I always enjoy these. Thanks Dragon.
Man you're creepy good at this. Kudos good sir
Thanks. I enjoy making this little side projects and I'm glad you guys liked it.

In my previous casting editions, it was mainly bringing to life characters from the pages. This one posed a different challenge in that I had to find actors, within a certain age, that looked like the child actors.

This post was so dead on. As for the ties I prefer the first choices listed in each. My only gripe is Shemar. No Librarian in the history of time has ever looked like that. He is way too pretty. I like Cuba Gooding Jr for it....light skin, ragged looking now perfect for a tormented character and I'm sure he is available.

I understand your disapproval of Shemar (I'm not 100% locked on him also). But I'm not basing it on the book but what the child actor (Chosen Jacobs) looks like. And for me his face reminds me of Shemar Moore.

As for the 5'8" height of the character, Chosen Jacobs is the tallest among the cast and getting bigger. When they film the sequel next year, they're going to have a lot of flashback scenes. So it would be weird casting a grown up Mike that's around 5'8" when the young Mike is potentially going to be taller.

In the book, Mike is an All-State or All-American running back in high school, but stops growing at 14 or 15, while Bill, Ben and Beverly (and maybe Stan) all grow up to be tall. Probably due to them moving out of Derry shortly after their confrontation with Pennywise.

If Chosen Jacobs stops growing, I'd go back to my original choice which was David Oyelowo. Here's the image I made for him.

Swap out your Eddie pick of Topher Grace with Charlie Day

I've seen Topher Grace in a "horror" movie where he was supposed to be scared...and it was terrible...don't really want to see a second time

There should certainly be somebody better than Ashton Kutcher as the comic relief.

Wow, amazing job Dragon! You've outdone yoursel....eh...whats this...?

**TIE** ASHTON KUTCHER as RICHIE TOZIER (Age: 39)

Other than that I say Cuba Gooding for the black guy (he supposed to be a wreck when they catch up to him in the future so we can cast an older dude).

And props for casting Vern as Ben.

**TIE** JERRY O'CONNELL as BEN HANSCOM (Age: 43)

Ben loses his excess weight and grows up to become a well-renowned architect. Actor Jerry O'Connell used to be a chubby kid in another Stephen King adaptation Stand By Me [image] and he grew up to become a stud. I thought it would be a cool full circle journey if Jerry played the adult Ben.

**TIE** JOSH HARTNETT as BEN HANSCOM (Age: 39)

One of the most distinguishable facial traits Ben child actor Jeremy Ray Taylor has is his slightly slanted eyes. I immediately thought of Josh Hartnett. The Pearl Harbor actor was last seen in the gothic horror series Penny Dreadful and the period drama The Ottoman Lieutenant.

Alternate for Ben: Joel Edgerton (Zero Dark Thirty)

I like how you made the fat kid into a good looking adult

Like this one the best

Cuba Gooding Jr is a fantastic idea!

If they did not vanquish Pennywise the first time, how they escape, and how come Pennywise not keep coming for them?

He was injured pretty bad in their encounter so he retreated where they couldn't follow then disappeared for his hibernation, which lasts for 27 years.

To make it a bigger Spider-Man reunion...

Tobey Maguire - Bill
Topher Grace - Eddie
Kirsten Dunst - Beverly
James Franco - Richie (I seriously considered this before)
Joe Manganiello - Ben
Jamie Foxx - Mike
