Comments: Nice to see Clint Eastwood's son following in his father's footsteps in the western genre. Don't think this film will be good though. Great to see Camilla Belle again.

@Anung Un Rama

I know that there's no Hansel & Gretel 2 this year but any 2016 films catch your fancy?

I'm sure you'll be interested in The Girl on the Train. I think it's the Gone Girl of 2016.

That and the animated movie with Roomey in it look interesting.
There are obviously 5 movies that I am compelled to see regardless of how good or bad they look, but seems pretty meh this year. Lots of Jesus propaganda movies this year. They must pay a lot.

It's actually 7 superhero movies this year (Deadpool, BvS, Civil War, Apocalypse, Suicide Squad, Gambit, Dr. Strange) but I don't think Gambit can make its October scheduled release since they haven't even finished casting or shooting. Expect Gambit in 2017. I'm kinda looking forward to Gambit since Doug Liman is attached to direct it.

I'm also a mark for Bourne & Star Wars. There were a few more that I shrugged apathetically and said to myself, "well I guess I'm going to see that".

Things may change once I see the trailer for Doctor Strange. In my mind, that could be amazing or the opposite of amazing.

Maybe I'm too old but I never understood the love for Gambit.

I will watch the hell out of any Bourne movie.

Critics Review for THE FOREST

Rotten Tomatoes: 14% Approval Rating (7 out of 51 critics like it)

Consensus: The Forest offers Natalie Dormer a few chances to showcase her range in a dual role, but they aren't enough to offset the fact that the movie's simply not all that scary.

The-Forest-Natalie-Dormer-093015-Dragonlord.jpg

Entertainment Weekly - Ambiguity is good in a horror movie, but with this many plot elements elbowing each other for room, none of them achieve enough clarity to be properly terrifying. C+

James Berardinelli - The Forest boasts a promising premise but squanders most of its goodwill as a result of narrative shortcuts and contrivances, horror film clichés, and haphazard editing. 2/4

Chicago Tribune - There's not a lot of filmmaking energy in "The Forest," and roughly 40 minutes of story surrounded by 45 more minutes of Dormer in nonverbal distress. 2/4

USA Today - It's OK to go into these woods because there's not much to get spooked by in The Forest, unless you're creeped out by the occasional Japanese schoolgirl. 2/4

San Francisco Chronicle - The only thing good to say for "The Forest" is that Dormer is interesting, that she creates a different vibe and essence for each sister, and that it would be nice to see her in a better movie. 1/4

Critics' Reviews for DIABLO

Rotten Tomatoes: 9% Approval Rating (1 out of 11 critics like it)

Diablo-Scott-Eastwood-010816-Dragonlord.jpg

A.V. Club - Roeck aims for an homage to Eastwood Sr.'s revisionist Westerns (think The Outlaw Josey Wales, Unforgiven, etc.), but the result is pretentious and pointless. D

Variety - "Diablo" boasts the skeleton of an interesting allegorical oater ... but Carlos de los Rios' screenplay never manages to provide flesh or a beating heart, leaving the whole endeavor feeling more like a rough draft.

Blu-Ray.com - There's an Eastwood back in the saddle, and maybe for some viewers that will be enough, but once "Diablo" gets to a full gallop, it really has no idea where to go. C-

We Got This Covered - Diablo is an under-90-minute movie that feels doubly long, bringing you face-to-face with the Devil, but taking its sweet time to get there (unfortunately). 5/10

Movie Nation - An obvious twist wrecks the story, and a good supporting cast upstages the Younger, Less Charismatic Eastwood in every scene. 1.5/4

I've watched Dirty Grandpa, a little Hangover-esque and pretty good if you like dirty humor. Some jokes were just not funny though.

Dragon you see the movie Carol with Kate Blanchet. It's like a critical wet dream
Haven't seen the critical darlings like Carol, Spotlight, The Danish Girl and others yet. Why, did you like Carol?
