DRAGONLORD'S 2016 MOVIE GUIDE

What is your most anticipated film of 2016?

If Cap. Murica would be like Winter Soldier I'd have much higher expectations, but I've got a feeling it's gonna be more like Age of Ultron.
Civil War is from the same filmmakers (the Russo Bros.) who did The Winter Soldier, so expect it to have the same tone as TWS. Plus, the Civil War trailer really felt like a it'll be of TWS quality.

The revenat (it's not out yet here)
Superman vs batman
Bourne

Is that really what Rouge One is called?

Btw, what was your reaction when they announced a new King Kong vs Godzilla movie was in the works?
Well, excitement, of course. But I still wonder how they can make the story work. They say they won't have a bigger Kong, who is quite a bit smaller (while the American G is bigger than Godzilla has ever been). If they keep them to scale, I am curious how they could make it work, unless they don't really fight at all and it is more of a team up of sorts, which would hurt my feelings.

If it ends up being good at all, it should put up huge numbers.

Is that really what Rouge One is called?
Sadly, yes. "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is what it's being called for now.

I still prefer the previous titles, "Star Wars: Rogue One" or "Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One."

DIRTY GRANDPA

Director: Dan Mazer (I Give It a Year)

Cast: Zac Efron, Robert De Niro, Julianne Hough, Aubrey Plaza, Zoey Deutch, Dermot Mulroney, Adam Pally, and Jason Mantzoukas

Synopsis: Right before his wedding, an uptight guy (Zac Efron) is tricked into driving his grandfather (Robert De Niro), a perverted former Army general, to Florida for spring break.

I cringed

Just watched the trailer and it does look good. Guess Age of Ultron just left too bad an aftertaste that just put me off of any Avenger associated movies. Still not completely sold, but I'll put it behind Deadpool. I'm just not getting my hopes up too much.

omg that's right, the new finding nemo is coming! ^______^
ahh, am 'cited for that

what are the horror n found footage movies expected to come out this year? anything good o:
well, even if not good will still watch and complain about them later lol, it's what i do after all
gonna be a bad sjw and watch the forest at least
hmm, maybe should look online for list

13 Hours :The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi and The Finest Hours - I`m a sucker for against all odds cavalry/rescue movies I guess.

I'm really hoping Assassins Creed would be a good movie, but history has proved game movies don't turn out well.

If it makes you feel any better, New Regency has absolutely poured as much money as they possibly can into production of Assassin's Creed (and The Revenant, upon every budget-expanding request) so regardless of plot/story, you can bet on production looking fucking amazing, if the latest New Regency films were any indication.

I predict a spectacle, either way.

Though I voted Suicide Squad, for Margot Robbie's performance.

If the Room biopic is released this year, then that is my #1. But that might be an early 2017 release. John Wick 2 is also up there when they give the official release date.

Out of the list I'd go Civil War. That shot of Cap/Bucky vs Iron Man has sold me on this one. Deadpool is neck and neck with it though. I think it's gonna be the Kingsmen sleeper hit of the year.

Dragon, you should really switch Assassins Creed with Rogue One.

So looking forward to that as well. I'm not too confident that it'll capture the same magic as the first film but optimistic it will still be a fun, entertaining film.

Oddly there's no found-footage horror films coming out this year.

There are a couple untitled Lionsgate and New Line horror films with no details yet. Maybe one of them will be of the found-footage format. Will keep you posted when I learn more.

I don't have much confidence in The Forest because of its release date. The Witch is probably the horror film I'm most looking forward to this year.

Rogue One is already on the poll. It's located at the bottom.

Assassin's Creed is getting no loves as of the moment. That'll probably change once the first trailer hits. But as of the moment, I'm considering swapping it with the following:

Independence Day: Resurgence
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2
Star Trek Beyond
Doctor Strange
Fantastic Beasts

Thing is I don't think those films would get any votes either this early in the year.

Nothing really stands out, but i'll give Singer the benefit of the doubt for X-Men. Hail Caesar and Bourne could also be good.

yeah i don't think it will be as good as the first, but still hoping it'll be good
i don't think they could muck it up too badly anyways lol

ahh okay, thank you ^____^

lol, well, i just have to watch because i like the location of the film
this is the second time ive seen this "witch" movie mentioned
think im gonna go google it now lol

Definitely Cap. I've been excited ever since that movie was announced.

I've never really cared for super hero movies, but I'm excited for the Batman/Superman film. Even with the insane amount of comic book movies 2016 looks promising.

Most anticipated in no particular order:

Zootopia
Mojave
X-men apocalypse
Hail Caesar
Conor4real
Batman v. Superman
Sausage party
Patient zero
Rogue one
Moana
Suicide squad
The girl on the train
Bourne
Jack reacher
the magnificent seven
The accountant

Also, @Dragonlordxxxxx, I'm not sure if The Last of Us was your thread or not, but do you have any updates on it?
No, The Last of Us thread wasn't mine. But there's no significant updates on the project.

I like your list btw.

World's Finest is the only thing I'll see for sure, so that.
